Identification source. Keyed using Lelej (1996a) and compared with the original description.

Previous record. This species was described from Quang Nam by Lelej (1996a).

Distribution. Vietnam: Ninh Binh *, Thua Thien Hue*, Quang Nam, Ninh Thuan *, Ba Ria-Vung Tau *.

Occurrence in Vietnam. January, March, May, June. Northern Indochina subtropical forests, Northern Vietnam lowland rain forests, Southern Annamites montane rain forests, and Southern Vietnam lowland dry forests ecoregions. 90–800 m alt.

Sex association. This species was described from both sexes collected at the same place and time.

Remarks. This is a relatively rare species. It seems to be closely related to Or. desponsa , separated from that species by having slightly different mesoscutellum morphology in males, a narrower head and subtle color differences in females, and a shorter felt line in both sexes ( Lelej 1996a).
