Myrmosa (Krombeinella) Pate, 1947: 197 , ♂ ♀. Type species: Hylaeus thoracicus Fabricius, 1793 (♂), by original designation.

Myrmosa (Paramyrmosa) Suárez, 1963 (nom. preocc., non de Saussure 1880): 114, ♂ ♀. Type species: Hylaeus thoracicus Fabricius, 1793 (♂), by original designation. Synonymized by Krombein (1976: 258) under Myrmosa (Krombeinella) Pate, 1947 .

Krombeinella : Lelej 1985: 57; Lelej 2002: 17; Lelej & Brothers 2008: 31; Williams et al. 2019c: 527, ♂; Pagliano et al. 2020: 16.

Diversity and distribution. This genus includes 19 species, most of which are western Palaearctic in distribution ( Lelej 1985, 2002; Suárez & Nonveiller 1988; Williams et al. 2019c; Parejo-Pulido & Romano 2022). Williams et al. (2019c) discovered the first Oriental species in southern Vietnam.

Remarks. Williams et al. (2019c) provided a key to all known males.
