Identification source. Voucher specimens ( Okayasu 2023a).

Previous record. This species was recorded from Hanoi and Hoa Binh by Okayasu (2023a).

Distribution. China. Taiwan. Indonesia. Laos. Malaysia. Thailand. Vietnam: Hanoi, Hoa Binh, Quang Nam *, Kien Giang *.

Occurrence in Vietnam. April, August, October, November. Northern Indochina subtropical forests, Red River freshwater swamp forests, Southern Vietnam lowland dry forests, and Tonle Sap-Mekong peat swamp forests ecoregions. 7–30 m alt.

Sex association. This species was initially described from the female only. The male was associated and described by André (1905) based on a pair in copula.

Remarks. Photos of the holotype of Trogaspidia yuliensis are available in Chan et al. (2025). A female from Minh Thuong National Park has the third metasomal tergum dark brown, showing an intermediate state of the typical form and black color variant ( Okayasu 2023a).
