Distribution. Thailand. Vietnam *: Vinh Phuc, Gia Lai, Dong Nai, Ba Ria-Vung Tau.
Occurrence in Vietnam. January, June, July, September, November. South China-Vietnam subtropical evergreen forests, Southern Annamites montane rain forests, Southern Vietnam lowland dry forests, and Southeast Indochina dry evergreen forests ecoregions. 56–908.5 m alt. Forest opening ( Fig. 30A).
Sex association. Male unknown.
Remarks. In coloration, this species is similar to Sm. triguttata below. Two females from Binh Chau have legs almost entirely black, unlike other specimens ( Figs 18A, 18B).
