Identification source. Keyed using Chen (1957) and compared with description in Lelej (1995b).
Previous record. This species was recorded from Ha Son Binh (now Hoa Binh) by Lelej (1995b).
Distribution. China. Vietnam: Lao Cai *, Tuyen Quang *, Vinh Phuc *, Hoa Binh, Thua Thien Hue*, Gia Lai *.
Occurrence in Vietnam. April to June, August to October. South China-Vietnam subtropical evergreen forests, Northern Indochina subtropical forests, Northern Vietnam lowland rain forests, and Southern Annamites montane rain forests ecoregions. 50–1100 m alt. Forest.
Sex association. Female unknown.
Remarks. In coloration, this species is similar to Si. hong Lelej, 1995 below but is distinguished primarily by absence of the notaulus. The unique type of this species was not found in TARI, where Chen’s types are presently deposited (JO pers. obs.).
