Distribution. Thailand. Vietnam *: Ba Ria-Vung Tau.

Occurrence in Vietnam. January. Southern Vietnam lowland dry forests ecoregion.

Sex association. Male unknown.

Remarks. This species was described from southern Thailand and is newly recorded from Vietnam.At Vimardin farm stay in Thailand and Binh Chau in Vietnam, Mi. athalia and Mi. puttasoki were collected at the same time ( Williams et al. 2019b; this study).

Smicromyrme (Horaia) Tsuneki, 1993 (nom. preocc., non Tonnoir, 1930): 43, ♂. Type species: Smicromyrme (Horaia) chihpenchia Tsuneki, 1993 (♂), by original designation = Mutilla wotani Zavattari, 1913 (♀) (syn. by Okayasu 2020: 31). Synonymized by Lelej (1995a: 2) under Nemka Lelej, 1985 .

Diversity and distribution. This genus is widely distributed throughout the Palaearctic Region, from western Europe and North Africa to the Palaearctic part of China, Korean Peninsula, and Japan, and also occurs in the continental Oriental Region and Taiwan. Eighteen species are included ( Lelej 1995a, 2005; Okayasu 2020).

Remarks. Nemka viduata ( Pallas, 1773) is common and widespread in the western Palaearctic Region. The Oriental species of Nemka , however, are less commonly encountered and generally seem to have more limited distributions, although N. limi ( Chen, 1957) occurs in both the Palaearctic and Oriental Regions. This is the only Nemka species in Vietnam. There are four additional species occurring in Indochina, which might eventually be found in Vietnam (Lelej 2005; Williams et al. 2019b; Boutin & Vilhelmsen 2024).
