Previous record. This species was described from Quang Ninh by Lelej (1995b). Later, Williams et al. (2019b) recorded this species from Vinh Phuc.

Distribution. Malaysia. Thailand. Vietnam: Vinh Phuc, Quang Ninh.

Occurrence in Vietnam. March, May. South China-Vietnam subtropical evergreen forests ecoregion.

Sex association. Male unknown.

Remarks. This species is variable in color; head and legs vary from black with various portions reddish to largely red ( Lelej 1995b; Williams et al. 2019b; Figs 11E, 11F).

Diversity and distribution. This genus includes 23 Oriental species ( Lelej 1996d, 2005; Williams et al. 2019b; Thaochan et al. 2022). Two of them also occur in the Palaearctic part of China.

Remarks. This genus was reviewed by Lelej (1996d). However, many species were subsequently recognized (Lelej 2005; Williams et al. 2019b; Thaochan et al. 2022). Mickelomyrme species are generally small and are abundant in Southeast Asia ( Williams et al. 2019b).
