urn:lsid:zoobank.org:act:41652F68-54AD-400A-A3D0-D8391509984C
Ephucilla Lelej, 1995b: 10 , ♂; Lelej 2005: 39, ♂ ♀; Lelej & Brothers 2008: 21 View Cited Treatment ; Okayasu 2020: 62 View Cited Treatment , ♂ ♀; Pagliano et al. 2020: 171; Lelej & Williams 2023: 112, ♂ ♀. Type species: Mutilla naja Zavattari, 1913 (♂), by original designation.
Diversity and distribution. This genus includes 17 Oriental species (Lelej 2005, 2020; Okayasu 2020). Remarks. Three species-groups were recognized within Ephucilla based on the male morphology by Lelej
(1995b). Identification keys to males of the naja group and all females of the genus were provided by Okayasu (2020). Ephucilla species are found in tropical forests and females are arboreal ( Okayasu 2020, 2021b). Ephucilla bacbo and E. viet are rarely found likely due to their small body size and cryptic behavior and habitats.
