Previous record. This species was recorded from Son La by Lelej (1996d).

Distribution. China. Thailand. Vietnam: Tuyen Quang *, Bac Kan *, Son La, Vinh Phuc *, Ninh Binh *, Kon Tum *, Gia Lai *, Dak Lak *, Ninh Thuan *, Dong Nai *.

Occurrence in Vietnam. May to July, September, October. South China-Vietnam subtropical evergreen forests, Northern Indochina subtropical forests, Southern Annamites montane rain forests, Southern Vietnam lowland dry forests, and Southeast Indochina dry evergreen forests ecoregions. 90–940 m alt. Grassy scrub.

Sex association. Female unknown.

Remarks. Within Vietnam, this species can be recognized by coloration: the metasoma is partly reddish-orange, the tegula is black, and the body setae are predominantly whitish.
