Identification source. Keyed using Okayasu et al. (2021b) and compared with the original description.

Previous record. This species was described from Dak Lak in Okayasu et al. (2021b).

Distribution. Thailand. Vietnam: Ha Tinh *, Phu Yen *, Dak Lak.

Occurrence in Vietnam. March, June. Northern Annamites rain forests and Southern Annamites montane rain forests ecoregions. 120–900 m alt. Regenerated forests.

Sex association. Male unknown.

Remarks. This species has a wider mandible than any other female in the genus. The type species, Andreimyrme long , is known from males only and, based on similar mandible shape and broadly overlapping distribution, could eventually be matched with this species.
