Identification source. Compared with voucher specimens from China and Thailand ( Lelej 1996b, 2005) [ ZMMU].

Previous record. None.

Distribution. China. India. Myanmar. Thailand. Vietnam *: Gia Lai.

Occurrence in Vietnam. March, April. Southern Vietnam lowland dry forests ecoregion.

Sex association. Female unknown.

Remarks. This species is a hyperparasitoid of Tiphia matura Allen & Jaynes, 1930 (= Tiphia simlaensis Cameron, 1904 ; syn. by Allen 1975: 27) ( Hymenoptera : Tiphiidae ) on a scarab beetle ( Coleoptera : Scarabaeidae ) ( Clausen et al. 1932).

Petersenidia Lelej in Lelej & Yamane, 1992: 628, ♂ ♀; Lelej 1996b: 9, ♂ ♀; Lelej 2005: 70; Lelej & Brothers 2008: 45 View Cited Treatment ; Pagliano et al. 2020: 255. Type species: Smicromyrme fukudai Tsuneki, 1972 (♂), by original designation.

Diversity and distribution. This genus is widespread in the Oriental Region and reaches the Palaearctic part of Japan. Forty-four species are included (Lelej 2005, 2021; Williams et al. 2019b; Pagliano et al. 2020).

Remarks. Many species of the former Petersenidiini Lelej, 1996, whose systematic position is uncertain, are now placed in this genus ( Williams et al. 2019b). Of the 44 Petersenidia species, 22 are doubtfully assigned to this genus at present.
