Distribution of Sintor . The genus contains altogether 43 species ( Rheinheimer 2004) distributed predominantly in the Oriental region ( India, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, Laos) and the Palaearctic region ( China, Nepal, Taiwan, Korea, Japan). Nine endemic species are widespread in Madagascar. The genus does not occur in continental Africa.
