Sicarius albospinosus Purcell, 1908: 224 View in CoL . Female lectotype from Namibia, Great Namaqualand, L uderitz € Bucht, L. Schultze (SAM-ENW-X 150521), designated by Lotz (2012), not examined; female paralectotype from Namibia, Great Namaqualand, Angra Pequena, L. Schultze (ZMB 10468), examined ( Fig. 62A – C View Figure 62 ). Lawrence, 1938: 215, fig. 1; Lotz, 2012: 3, figs 2A, 3A, 4A.
Note: Lotz (2012) redescribed this species, but his illustrations of genitalia (see his figs 3A, 4A) do not fit with the morphology of the paralectotype examined by us ( Fig. 62A – C View Figure 62 ), nor with that of a pair from the type locality ( Figs 21A, B View Figure 21 , 20A, B View Figure 20 ). Our specimens have an embolus almost as long as the bulb body in males, and spermathecal branches long and finger-like in females. We refrain from re-diagnosing the species as we have not examined the lectotype designated by Lotz (2012), but the identity of the species should be clarified in the future.
Additional material examined: NAMIBIA. Karas: 6 km N L uderitz €, dunes behind Agate beach, (15.16667, 26.58333), C.E. Griswold & T GoogleMaps . Meikle Griswold , 9/X/1984, 1 # 1 $ 2 imm.
