Remarks: Pseudupeneus prayensis , synonymous with Upeneus prayensis (Cuvier) , was a rare catch in Badagry and Ikorodu. This species is distributed across marine and brackish waters from Mauritania to southern Angola. Pseudupeneus prayensis has a moderately elongated and slightly compressed body, with a somewhat pointed snout and a gently convex head profile. Its body color is pinkish red, adorned with 3–4 longitudinal lines in darker red to brownish yellow.
