Distribution: LA to OH to IN to TX and south into Mexico.
- Reported from: AR, IN, LA, OH, TN, TX and Mexico ( Ekis 1977).
Natural History: Very little has been published on the natural history of this species.
Mimicry: Thought to be a lampyrid mimic ( Ekis 1977).
Note: Most species in the genus Phyllobaenus are thought to be ant mimics ( Mawdsley 1994).
