Lactistes obesipes Signoret, 1879: 234 .
Material examined: AUSTRALIA, Northern Territory, Humpty Doo 15-8-2018, leg. Laurie Cookson, 1 ex.
Distribution (Lis J.A. 1996, 1999; Lis J.A. & Lis B. 2008): China (Guangdong). The species was originally described from “New Holland”. However, due to the possibility of its lectotype being mislabelled, it was removed from the Australian Cydnidae faunal list (Lis J.A. & Lis B. 2008). The present record confirms the occurrence of the species in Australia.
