Apterous; length 3.5 mm. Color. Head (Figs 5 and 6) testaceous; antenna with ventral margin of the scape testaceous-yellow, other articles dark brown; mesosoma (Figs 5, 7 and 8) totally testaceous; legs predominantly dark, except meso- and metatarsus yellow-testaceous; metasoma brown, except first tergum testaceous; last tergum testaceous and partly black. Pubescence. Head (Fig. 6) with few simple setae on vertex; face with tufts of erect setae on lateral and posterior region; clypeus with long setae; pronotum with erect and scattered setae; mesoscutum with few setae; mesoscutellum and metanotum glabrous; metapectal-propodeal complex with few erect setae on antero-lateral region; metasoma with rows of erect setae on terga. Structures and sculpture. Face and gena rugose; frontal line incomplete (Fig. 6); occipital carina reduced, only present behind posterior ocelli; pronotum smooth, with rugose band on anterior region; mesoscutum partially rugose, with two lateral pointed apophyses (Fig. 7); mesoscutellum and metanotum smooth; metanotum not excavated behind mesoscutellum; mesopleuron partially smooth, with some roughnesses; metapleuron fully striate transversely; metapectal-propodeal complex with anterior region rugose and median and posterior region transversely striate and rugose; lateral regions of metapectal-propodeal complex without longitudinal striae. Measurements. Antenna shorter than head + mesosoma; first flagellomere 1.5 × as long as second one; antennal segments in following proportions: 12:5:12:6:5:5:5:4:4:7; OL = 3; POL = 2; OOL = 9; OPL = 1; Protarsal segments in following proportions: 7:3:5:17:25. Enlarged claw with one small subapical tooth and one row of six peg-like setae (Fig. 9); segment 5 of protarsus (Fig. 9) with two rows of approximately 36 lamellae; distal apex with five lamellae, among which one very long. Formula of tibial spurs 1/1/2.

Variability. The studied specimen, compared with holotype of G. amazonicus and a specimen collected in Loreto, Argentina, shows the following differences: body longer (3.5 mm) (3.6 and 3.2 mm in holotype and specimen from Argentina respectively; enlarged claw with six peg-like setae (eight in holotype); head testaceous (brown-reddish in holotype, black in specimen from Argentina); antenna dark brown, except ventral margin of scape testaceous (testaceous, except segments 7–10 darkened in holotype; totally testaceous in specimen from Argentina); pronotum testaceous (reddish, except some black spots on transverse impression, in holotype; black, except lateral regions testaceous, in specimen from Argentina); mesoscutum testaceous (reddish in holotype; black in specimen from Argentina).

Material examined.
