First flagellomere 1.5 times longer than wide; arista 2.8 times longer than first flagellomere (Fig. 7); fore femur with 2 rows of long pale yellow bristles longer than width of fore femur; cercus very long, wide at basal half (Fig. 8).</p><p>Description. Male (Fig. 1). Body length 4.2 mm, wing length 3.5 mm. Head: Frons metallic green; face dark metallic green with thick silvery white pollinosity; palpus and proboscis black, palpus with 5 black bristles on tip, proboscis very short, with pale hairs; antenna black; scape almost bare; pedicel with 1 long strong bristle and 3 short bristles dorsally, 1 long strong bristle ventrally; first flagellomere nearly isosceles triangular, blunt at tip, 1.5 times longer than wide; arista apical, simple, with microscopic hairs, arista 2.8 times longer than first flagellomere (Fig. 7); postocular bristles dorsally long black in single row, ventrally in 3 rows, of which inner row black, 2 outer rows pale. Thorax metallic green; hairs and bristles black; 5 dc, of which 4th pair located inwards; 4 irregular pairs of long thin acr; median sc strong, lateral sc weak as side hairs. Legs mainly yellow, but coxae dark metallic green, fore femur, apical 1/3 of mid femur, apical 1/3 of hind femur and tarsi black; hairs and bristles on legs mainly black. Fore and mid coxae anteriorly with rows of irregular black hairs; fore coxa with 4 anterior bristles at apical 1/3, mid coxa with 2 black anterior bristles at apical half, hind coxa with 1 black outer bristle at middle; fore and mid trochanters black, hind trochanter yellow; fore femur dark metallic green, with 1 weak preapical ad and 2 rows of long pale yellow ventral bristles longer than width of fore femur; mid femur mainly black except yellow tip, with 2 preapical av and 1 row of long pale ventral hairs at apical quarter to half, apically with 1 short bristle; hind femur yellow except black apical quarter, with 3 weak ad near base; tibiae yellow except brown tip of hind tibia; fore and mid tarsi dark yellow to dark brown onward, hind tarsus entirely black; fore tibia with 3 weak offset ad/pd, apically with 3 short bristles; mid tibia with 4 ad, 4 pd (1 short preapical), 2 short av (1 preapical), apically with 1 short bristle; hind tibia with 3 ad, 2 pd, apically with 3 bristles. Fore basitarsus with 1 row of strong short av; mid basitarsus with 3 pd, of which 1st very long. Relative length ratio from tibia to tarsomere 5: LI: 4.0/2.0/1.0/0.6/0.4/ 0.4, LII: 5.0/3.6/1.4/1.0/0.6/0.4, LIII: 7.2/2.4/2.4/1.6/1.0/0.8. Wing hyaline, somewhat brownish; veins dark brown, R4+5 and M somewhat convergent apically; CuAx ratio 0.67. Squama yellow, with fan of pale white bristles; halter pale. Abdomen: Dark metallic green, hairs pale, bristles black. Hairs on sternite 3 long and strong. 5th segment ventrally expanded to form hood for male genitalia. Male genitalia (Fig. 8): black except cercus brown. Epandrium nearly as long as wide. Surstylus very wide, with several short digitations, each with 1 short hair apically. Cercus very long, distinctly longer than epandrium, wide at basal half. Hypandrium very short, hidden in epandrium in lateral view. Phallus dark and thin. Female. Unknown.</p><p>Type material. HOLOTYPE, Ƌ labeled: China: Tibet, Lhasa, Academy of <a href="https://tb.plazi.org/GgServer/search?materialsCitation.longitude=91.07056&amp;materialsCitation.latitude=30.078611" title="Search Plazi for locations around (long 91.07056/lat 30.078611)">Agricultural Sciences'</a> ecology (N29°64′43″ E91°03′74″), 3650 m, collected by the Malaise trap set near swamp, 2014. The new species is similar to R. riparium (Meigen, 1824) widely distributed in the Palaearctic, but may be separated from the latter by the length / width ratio of the first flagellomere and the length ratio of the arista and the first flagellomere, the ventral bristles on the fore femur as well as the shape of the cercus. In R. riparium, the first flagellomere is 2.1 times longer than wide; the arista is 1.9 times longer than the first flagellomere; the fore femur only has 1 row of long pale yellow ventral bristles which is as long as width of the fore femur; the cercus is wide but narrow at base and wider onwards with the distinct marginal denticles (Yang et al. 2011).</p><p>Etymology. The word ‘ apophysatum’ means inflated at base. All coxae yellow except mid coxa black dorsally and ventrally, hind coxa blackish at basal 1/4. Cercus bifoliate, ventral lobe long strip-like, in equal width from base to tip, 1.3 times as long as epandrium; dorsal lobe oval, short, 2/3 as long as epandrium.</p><p>Description. Male (Fig. 2). Body length 2.5–3.0 mm, wing length 2.7–3.2 mm. Head: Frons metallic green with grey white pollinosity; face dark metallic green with thick silvery white pollinosity, nearly as wide as first flagellomere; palpus and proboscis black with black hairs, palpus with 1 black apical bristle; bristles and hairs on head black except postocular bristles and posteroventral hairs pale yellow; antenna black; first flagellomere nearly isosceles triangular, somewhat elongated, rounded at tip, 10.5 times longer than wide; arista apical, simple, with short pubescence, 0.23 times as long as first flagellomere (Fig. 9). Fore femur with 1 pv close to base and 2 rows of sparse irregular bristles. Mid femur with 1 preapical ad. Hind femur without distinct bristle. Fore tibia with 1 ad at basal 1/3; mid tibia with 1 ad, 2 pd and 3 apical bristles; hind tibia with 1 ad, 2 pd and 3 apical bristles. Relative length ratio from tibia to tarsomere 5: LI: 6.0/4.0/2.0/1.0/0.7/0.6, LII: 8.0/4.5/2.3/1.0/0.7/0.6, LIII: 6.0/2.0/1.0/0.5/?/? (hind tarsus broken). Cercus black, bifoliate, ventral lobe long strip-like, in equal width from base to tip, 1.3 times as long as epandrium, with short strong marginal bristles; dorsal lobe oval, short, 2/3 as long as epandrium, with long marginal bristles. Hypandrium simple, slightly inflated apically; phallus simple, thin at apical portion. Female. Body length 3.0 mm, wing length 3.0 mm. Similar to male except first flagellomere small, 1.3 times longer than wide.</p><p>Type material. In R. zhongdianum, the first flagellomere is 8.0 times longer than wide; the legs are mainly yellow, but the mid and hind coxae are black except the extreme apex; the cercus is deeply bifurcated with 2 long lobes (Yang &amp; Saigusa, 2001).</p><p>Etymology. The word ‘ bilobum’ means bifoliate. Head: Frons metallic green with grey white pollinosity; face dark metallic green with thick silvery white pollinosity, nearly as wide as first flagellomere; palpus and proboscis black with black hairs, palpus with 1 black apical bristle; bristles and hairs on head black except postocular bristles and posteroventral hairs pale yellow; antenna black; first flagellomere nearly isosceles triangular, somewhat elongated, rounded at tip, 6.0 times longer than wide; arista black, apical, simple, apical portion broken (Fig. 13). Thorax metallic green with grey white pollinosity; propleuron covered by short pale yellow bristles; metapleuron narrowly yellowish brown at lower portion; hairs and bristles strong and black; 5 strong dc; 8 pairs of short regular acr which distanced wider from the anterior to posterior portion; median sc normal, lateral sc short and weak. Legs mainly yellow, all coxae yellow except mid coxa black at basal half, tarsi brown to dark brown from tip of tarsomere 1 onwards. Hairs and bristles on legs black except hairs on fore coxa, fore coxa with pale yellow hairs, mid coxa with 2 black outer bristles each at middle and apical 1/3, hind coxa with 1 black outer bristle at middle. Fore tibia with 2 ad each at basal 1/5 and apical 1/5; mid tibia with 4 strong ad, 1 av and 4 apical bristles; hind tibia with 2 ad, 3 weak pd and 3 apical bristles. Relative length ratio from tibia to tarsomere 5: LI: 3.2/1.7/0.6/0.6/0.3/0.2, LII: 4.0/2.0/1.0/0.8/0.6/0.5, LIII: 6.0/2.0/?/?/?/? (hind tarsus broken). Wing hyaline, somewhat brownish; veins dark brown, R4+5 and M somewhat convergent apically; CuAx ratio 0.3. Squama yellow, with fan of pale white bristles; halter yellow. Abdomen metallic green with grey white pollinosity. Bristles and hairs black. Segments 1–5 with pale yellow hairs laterally, sternites 1–4 with pale yellow hairs ventrally. Male genitalia (Fig. 14): epandrium nearly as long as wide. Surstylus oblanceolate, with some pale strong bristles. Cercus bifoliate, dorsal lobe thin, ventral lobe wide. Hypandrium with 1 small preapical incision, hook-like apically. Phallus simple except apex irregular in shape. Female. Body length 3.3 mm, wing length 2.9 mm. The new species is somewhat similar to R. xinjiangense Yang, 1998 from Xinjiang province of China, but may be separated from the latter by the shape of the surstylus and the cercus. In R. xinjiangense, the surstylus is large and has the dense long hairs apically; the cercus is long band-like and does not bifoliate (Yang et al. 2011).</p><p>Etymology. Cercus long linear and hooked, somewhat inflated apically with 1 apical bristle. Phallus simple except one spine-like dorsal process (Fig. 16).</p><p>Description. Male (Fig. 5). Body length 5.0 mm, wing length 4.5 mm. Black bristles on first segment dorsally and pale yellow hairs on segments 2–5 laterally and sternites 1–4, with 2 curved black bristles apically on 4th segment laterally. Male genitalia (Fig. 16): epandrium nearly as long as wide, epandrial lobes indistinct. Surstylus with 1 deep incision at middle, apical 1/3 finger-like, with some short lateral hairs and 1 pale yellow rod-like apical bristle. Cercus long linear and hooked, with spine-like black bristles at middle, somewhat inflated apically with 1 apical bristle. Hypandrium with an incision ventrally and a process dorsally. Phallus simple except one spine-like process dorsally. Female. Unknown.</p><p>Type material. The new species is somewhat similar to R. qinghaiense Yang, 1998 from Qinghai province of China, but may be separated from the latter by the length / width ratio of the first flagellomere, the bristles on the fore tarsomere 5 and the shape of the cercus. In R. qinghaiense, the first flagellomere is 5.9 times longer than wide; the bristles on fore tarsomere 5 are normal and the cercus is long, thinner onwards (Yang et al. 2011).</p><p>Etymology. Hypandrium wide with 1 large blunt dorsal process at middle. Phallus simple. Female. Body length 2.7–3.2 mm, wing length 3.0– 3.1 mm. Similar to male, but first flagellomere short, nearly as long as wide.</p><p>Type material. In R. flavilabre, the first flagellomere is 6.5 times longer than wide and thorax has 3–4 pairs of acr (Negrobov 1979).</p><p>Etymology.
