It is the only Myristica swamp in Maharashtra, located in the Bambarde village, Dodamarg taluka, Sindhudurg District. The specific epithet is derived from the combination of two words ‘ Kannha’ and ‘ Rai’. Proposed English name. Tilari Cruiser Proposed Marathi name.
