03C987F8FFB0FFB1BCEDAC54FAFFFD8F.taxon	materials_examined	This species was described from three males collected in November 2011 by Alluaud and Jeannel during the expedition to Oriental Africa (1911 – 1912) from Tiwi (Kenya) in the coastal region. The specimens should be housed in the MNHN, but they could not be found, as confirmed by J. Minet (epist. com.). Viette, in his work of 1951 on the Meyrick types present in the Museum, did not listed this species. A specimen in poor condition is housed in the NHMUK and is designated as the lectotype. This is clearly one of the three specimens studied by Meyrick that the author had retained for the NHMUK. Lectotype ♂ [here designated]: “ Psychropa Meyr. ” [handwritten by Meyrick]; “ Tiwi | Brit. E. Africa | AJ. II. 11 “ [handwritten]; “ Right Fwing | Abdomen missing “ [blue, handwritten and printed]; “ Coleophora psychropa Meyr. 1 / 1 | E. Meyrick det. | in Meyrick Coll. “ [handwritten and printed]; “ PARALECTOTYPE ” [round, printed, blue edged]; “ NHMUK 013673698 ” [printed with QR code]. Coll. 03C987F8FFB0FFB1BCEDAC54FAFFFD8F.taxon	discussion	The specimen is lacking the right antenna, the right forewing, most of the legs and abdomen. As we are unable to examine the genitalia, the identification of the species remains uncertain. The description by Meyrick may serve as a basis for identification if other Coleophoridae are collected in or near the type locality.	en	Baldizzone, Giorgio, Van Der Wolf, Hugo W. Male genitalia (Figs. 15 – 16): Gnathos knob globular. Tegumen broad, medially constricted, pedunculus dilated on the outer side. Long and thin transtilla, united in the center. Valvula small, narrow and elongated sclerotized on the outer edge. Club-shaped cucullus, narrower at the base. Sacculus with very sclerotized and concave outer edge; triangular protuberance rounded at the apex in the ventral corner, much larger, stocky and blunt protuberance at the apex in the dorsal corner. Phallotheca conical, elongated, more sclerotized in the ventral part. Only one cornutus, large and slightly more sclerotized and rounded at the apex. Female genitalia: Unknown. Abdominal structures (Fig. 17): No posterior lateral struts, transverse strut with thick and curved distal edge in the center. Tergal disk about eight times longer than wide, covered with about 20 conical spines.	en	Baldizzone, Giorgio, Van Der Wolf, Hugo W. (2020): On the taxonomy of Afrotropical Coleophoridae (III). 03C987F8FFB7FFBABCEDAE1BFB43FE3F.taxon	diagnosis	Diagnosis. This species has a characteristic appearance due to the colour of the forewing: light ochre, shaded brown at the apex and along the dorsum and with a spot in the cell. The male genitalia are different from all the known species on the basis of the undifferentiated cucullus, the large triangular valvula, the glomerulus-shaped protuberance in the dorsal corner of the sacculus, the short phallotheca, and the length of the two cornuti. The female genitalia are similar to those of some African species, many of which have not yet been described. The most distinguishing feature is the sclerotized central part of the colliculum.	en	Baldizzone, Giorgio, Van Der Wolf, Hugo W. (2020): On the taxonomy of Afrotropical Coleophoridae (III). 03C987F8FFB7FFBABCEDAE1BFB43FE3F.taxon	description	Description. Wingspan 10 mm. Head and antennae light ochre, scape without erect scales. Labial palpus light ochre on the inner side and brown on the outer side; the second segment about 0.5 times longer than third. Proboscis very short, almost vestigial. Thorax and tegula light ochre. Forewing narrow, light ochre, tinged with brown at base of dorsal fringes and along dorsum; small, brown, oval spot in cell; costal fringes light ochre, dorsal fringes brown. Hindwing light grey, fringes light ochre. Abdomen pale ochre. Male genitalia (Fig. 18): Gnathos knob globular. Tegumen broad, medially constricted, pedunculus dilated externally. Transtilla narrow and elongated. Valvula very large, triangular, outer margin curved. Cucullus short, not clearly separated from valvula. Sacculus small, with an oblique outer edge, in dorsal corner a rounded protuberance covered with short blunt spines. Phallotheca short, cylindrical, sclerotized only on outer margins; vesica long and robust with two very long, needle-like cornuti. Female genitalia (Figs. 19, 20): Papillae anales large, length about twice their width. Apophysis posterioris about twice that of apophysis anterioris. Sterigma elongated trapezoidal, curved on proximal edge. Ostium bursae oval. Colliculum cup-shape, restricted in center, sclerotized in distal part and at sides of the ostium. Ductus bursae short, not sclerified. Bursa copulatrix round, without signum. Note: The genitalia preparation was performed without separating the genitalia from the abdomen, and furthermore it was not cleaned of frustules present in various parts. Unfortunately its condition does not allow a new preparation. Abdominal structures (Fig. 19): No posterior lateral struts. Transverse strut slender, slightly curved in middle. Tergal disk about 6 times their width, covered by 18 – 20 conical spines.	en	Baldizzone, Giorgio, Van Der Wolf, Hugo W. (2020): On the taxonomy of Afrotropical Coleophoridae (III). 03C987F8FFB8FFBBBCEDABF4FE3DFA28.taxon	diagnosis	Diagnosis. This species is characterized by the vestigial proboscis and sexual dimorphism: the male is almost completely brown, and the female has the forewing divided into two parts, brown and white. The genitalia of both the male and the female are completely different from those of the other Afrotropical species. Because of their structure, the genitalia are somewhat reminiscent of those of the European species C. paucinotella Toll, 1961 (Baldizzone, 2019), but with notable differences.	en	Baldizzone, Giorgio, Van Der Wolf, Hugo W. 03C987F8FFBCFFBCBCEDA829FB13FF17.taxon	diagnosis	Diagnosis. Coleophora camerunensis is a small, dark brown species, with a lighter narrow line along the costa. It belongs to a group of species that includes C. presbytica Meyrick, 1921 and C. etoshae Baldizzone & van der Wolf, 2011, which share the same habitus. The genitalia are very similar in all three, but in the male of C. camerunensis the dorsal part of the juxta rods is in the shape of an obtuse angle rather than an arrow tip like, as in the other species, In C. camerunensis the cornutus is long, thin, and needle-shaped, whereas C. etoshae has two short and curved cornuti, joined at the base to form a claw (Fig. 41), and C. presbytica has a very long, thin and curved cornutus (Fig. 40). In the female genitalia, the most comspicuous distinguishing characteristic is the spinulate part of the ductus bursae: in C. etoshae there are no spinose parts in the transparent ductus (Fig. 44), and C. presbytica has the ductus with the spinose area twice as long as that of C. camerunensis sp. nov., and the spines completely envelop the ductus (Fig. 42), whereas those of the new species are arranged in two short bands; moreover, in the proximal part of the colliculum, there is also a short, but evident median line, absent in the other two species.	en	Baldizzone, Giorgio, Van Der Wolf, Hugo W.
