However, it can be distinguished from P. micans by having entirely yellow hindwing and abdomen and large lateral processes on juxta, and from P. splendens by having a dark grey longitudinal stripe on the forewing and larger, fused juxta.

Description. Male morphology: Wingspan 30–34 mm, forewing length 14–17 mm. Eye black. Antenna bipectinate, dark grey. Frons black. Labial palpus thin, a bit longer than eye’s diameter. Patagium light yellow. Thorax and tegula white. Legs yellow, outer side of tibia and tarsus dark grey. Upperside of the forewing white with a dark grey longitudinal stripe extending from basal to marginal area. Hindwing and abdomen yellow. Underside of both wings yellow, with grey shading in marginal area of the forewing. Male genitalia: Uncus large, elongated, concave; tegumen and saccus broad. Juxta enlarged, strongly sclerotized, with large lateral processes. Valva long, of typical shape for the genus. Aedeagus broad, curved. Female: Unknown.

Etymology. The name of the new species reflects its unique distribution as it is the first member of this Paleotropical genus discovered in Wallacea.

Distribution. This species is known to occur in two localities on the slopes of the Inierie Stratovolcano on Flores Island, Lesser Sunda Archipelago, Indonesia.

https://treatment.plazi.org/id/03DF87F12001FFC5FF5DF991FC019EF3	Public Domain	No known copyright restrictions apply.
