03DC954F7F0DFFC5FF0A70EFBC5EE2D2.taxon	discussion	Discussion. Two species are known from Minas Gerais. Although Carvalho (1947 b) reported Engytatus varians from Brazil, neither Carvalho (1958) nor Schuh (1995) listed it. Cassis (1984) restored Engytatus to generic rank, an action followed by Schuh (1995).	en	Ferreira, Paulo Sergio Fiuza, Henry, Thomas J. 03DC954F7F0DFFCAFF0A7337BD2DE5F9.taxon	diagnosis	Diagnosis. Overall coloration pale yellowish green. Length 3.75 – 3.90 mm. Similar to E. varians but is distinguished by lack of dark markings on the head, antennae, and apex of the cuneus, and the less distinct femoral spots. Hosts. Cassis (1984) listed Heterotheca grandiflora (Nutt.) [Asteraceace], Gynandropsis pentaaphylla D. C. [Cleomaceae], Lagenaria sp. [Cucurbitaceae], Jatropha gossypifolia L. [Euphorbiaceae], Merremia aegyptia (L.) Urban [Convulvulaceae], Bougainvillaea sp. [Nyctaginaceae], and Solanum sp. and Solanum sisymbrifolium Lam. [Solanaceae], several of which are probably accidental or sitting records. We collected this species on cultivated tobacco, Nicotiana tobaccum L., and Solanum sp. [Solanaceae] in Viçosa.	en	Ferreira, Paulo Sergio Fiuza, Henry, Thomas J. 03DC954F7F1BFFD3FF0A750BBADDE4DC.taxon	discussion	Discussion. Even though Carvalho (1953 a) synonymized his own Tenthecoris nannus under E. discoidalis, Schuh (1995) listed it as a valid species in the genus Tenthecoris. We have examined specimens of both species (E. discoidalis and T. nannus) determined by Carvalho and agree that this material is conspecific. Because no other taxonomic treatments of T. nannus have appeared since Carvalho’s (1953 a) synonymy, we consider Schuh’s (1995) listing a lapsus.	en	Ferreira, Paulo Sergio Fiuza, Henry, Thomas J. 03DC954F7F16FFDFFF0A72A7BFABE6CC.taxon	discussion	Discussion. Sysinas pallidipes is very similar to S. fulvicollis Fabricius, 1803, and, at one point, was considered a junior synonym of it (Carvalho, 1951 d), but later was resurrected as a valid species (Carvalho, 1955 b). Ferreira et al. (2006) presented the distribution of this species under the name S. fulvipes. Sysinas fulvipes is best distinguished from S. pallidipes by the yellowish pro- and mesotibiae and pale yellow lateral margins of the hemelytra.	en	Ferreira, Paulo Sergio Fiuza, Henry, Thomas J. 03DC954F7F17FFDFFF0A7632BF65E441.taxon	discussion	Discussion. Carvalho (1951 c) revised the genus and provided a key to species. 03DC954F7F17FFDCFF0A7209BB5EE6BF.taxon	diagnosis	Diagnosis. General color red with extensive metallic-blue areas. Head, pronotum, including collar, reddish. Eyes black. Clavus and corium metallic blue, with external area translucent red; embolium and cuneus pale red. Membrane fuscous inside areoles. Length 4.15 – 4.65 mm. Hosts. Aclandiae sp. [Orchidaceae], Cattleya labiata Lindl. Orchidaceae], and Laelia perrinii Bateman [Orchidaceae] (Ferreira et al., 2001). Southwood and Leston (1959) noted that C. orchidearum and other species of the genus cause pale, discolored, often blistered areas on orchid leaves, especially cattleyas, and Wheeler (2001) noted that severely damaged plants may loose their leaves, fail to flower, and frequently are killed. Distribution. Brazil (Minas Gerais, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina) (Carvalho, 1957; Ferreira et al., 2006).
