Vertex milky yellow, with irregular black spot at anterior margin centrally; eyes black (Figs 1, 3). Face yellowish, relatively short, with anteclypeus oval-shaped, basal triangles dark brown (Fig. 4). Pronotum with five milky yellow oval impressed patches near anterior margin, symmetrically distributed (Figs 1, 3). Scutellum brownish yellow, basal triangles dark brown (Figs 1, 3). Forewing light brownish yellow, with slightly golden tint; hind wing semitransparent.

Abdominal apodemes small, not extended beyond the hind margin of 3rd sternite (Fig. 13).

Male genitalia. Pygofer lobe basolateral setae in group, distinctly enlarged (Fig. 14). Subgenital plate broadened sub-basally, provided with 4 long macrosetae on lateral surface, numerous peg-like setae along dorsal margin subbasally; several microsetae scattered on apical portion (Fig. 15). Style long, preapical lobe obvious (Fig. 16). Aedeagal shaft long and slim, slightly swollen sub-apically; gonopore large, at subapex, ventrad (Figs 17, 18). Connecitve M-shaped (Fig. 19).

Specimen examined. Holotype: ♂, CHINA, Guizhou Prov., Leishan, 23 IX 2005, coll. Yuehua Song. Body length ♂ 3.0~3.1 mm; ♀ 3.1 mm.

Remarks. This species is similar to S. dentata Sohi & Mann 1992, but can be distinguished by the apex of style not shoe-shaped, but very similar to S. collina Dowrakowska, 1979; the dorsal apodeme small, truncated apically; the dorsal margin of aedeagal shaft smooth, without sawteeth; the connective stem vestigial, and the body size smaller.

Etymology. The specific name is derived from the Latin word “ bacillus ”, which refers to the long and slim aedeagal shaft.

https://treatment.plazi.org/id/03D987BF4B1AFFB14BCF944AD872F971	Public Domain	No known copyright restrictions apply.
