03EE87D1B224FFC3FF4BF88F7360FD0F.taxon	discussion	Remarks. The preoccupied Jonesius Sankarankutty, 1962, was replaced by Cherusius (Low & Ng 2012). Cherusius triunguiculatus is rarely reported (Castro 2015), this is the first live colouration of this species from Chinese waters. A male specimen collected from a Leptastrea sp. (Faviidae) colony has a dark brown patch on the lower middle part of the mobile finger of the chelipeds (Fig. 1 A, XS-QL- 2022 - 1066). The other two specimens without the dark brown patch were collected from a Faviidae.	en	Sun, Yu-Li, Jiang, Wei, Sha, Zhong-Li (2024): Shallow-water Trapezioidea (Decapoda: Brachyura) from the South China Sea, including two new records, and notes on Tetralia glaberrima Herbst, 1790. 03EE87D1B227FFC3FF4BFC8A7498FA4E.taxon	discussion	Remarks. Some of the specimens of Domecia glabra were collected from dead corals, but this species can also be found in living corals. Domecia glabra is usually smaller than D. hispida. In mature individuals of D. glabra, the carapace size typically is 4 – 5 mm, whereas the carapace size of D. hispida is about 5 – 10 mm.	en	Sun, Yu-Li, Jiang, Wei, Sha, Zhong-Li (2024): Shallow-water Trapezioidea (Decapoda: Brachyura) from the South China Sea, including two new records, and notes on Tetralia glaberrima Herbst, 1790. 03EE87D1B221FFC5FF4BFC0773E0F9B2.taxon	discussion	Remarks. There are few records of Palmyria palmyrensis, possibly due to its diminutive size, the carapace width of all three specimens is about 4 mm (Fig. 1 E, XS-QL- 2022 - 1065). The host corals of Palmyria palmyrensis, Montipora (Acroporidae), is a type of coral without branches. Palmyria palmyrensis often hides within the concealed cavities or holes of Montipora, making it more difficult to be discovered.	en	Sun, Yu-Li, Jiang, Wei, Sha, Zhong-Li (2024): Shallow-water Trapezioidea (Decapoda: Brachyura) from the South China Sea, including two new records, and notes on Tetralia glaberrima Herbst, 1790. 03EE87D1B223FFC8FF4BF9E47165FC1A.taxon	discussion	Remarks. Tetralia glaberrima is one of the most common coral symbionts in the South China Sea. This species has two distinct color patterns, one with a uniform orange body (Fig. 3 A, NS-MJ- 2022 - 1520) and the other with an almost white body (Fig. 3 C, E, XY 1101). The orange color pattern is the most common phenotype, which has several black spots at the dorsal propodal-dactylar articulation on all pereopods (Fig. 3 A). The white color pattern has a conspicuous black band across frontal margin of the white carapace and only one black spot between the dactylus and the propodus on all pereiopods (Fig. 3 C, E), which resembles juvenile or pre-adult specimens of Tetralia nigrolinea. The white color pattern of Te. glaberrima lacks a line of vivid brilliant blue color that delimit the black frontal band posteriorly, and with spines on the anterior margin of the merus of the cheliped are developed as long and sharp (Fig. 4 A, XY 1101; Fig. 4 B, XS-QL- 2022 - 1006) rather than granules in Te. nigrolineata (Fig. 4 C, XY 1102; Fig. 4 D, SY 24), which are the key features that distinguish Te. glaberrima from Te. nigrolinea. The width of carapace of the white-pattern individuals is around 5 mm, significantly smaller on average than those of the orange pattern, but they can be identified as adults by the size of ovigerous females. The white pattern is found more frequently in water less than 3 m in Hainan Island. The phylogenetic tree (Fig. 11) and genetic distance (Table 3) indicate minimal genetic divergence between the orange pattern (Fig. 11, NS-MJ- 2022 - 1520) and white pattern (Fig. 11, M 911).	en	Sun, Yu-Li, Jiang, Wei, Sha, Zhong-Li (2024): Shallow-water Trapezioidea (Decapoda: Brachyura) from the South China Sea, including two new records, and notes on Tetralia glaberrima Herbst, 1790. 03EE87D1B22CFFC8FF4BFC3672E4F8DA.taxon	discussion	Remarks. Tetralia nigrolineata is the largest species of the genus recorded in the South China Sea. A unique specimen (Fig. 6 E, VX 20230501) that was collected possess pereiopods that are all white in color. We attempted to explore whether this coloration is of phylogenetic interest, and so we aligned its COI sequence with an individual of normal coloration (SY 24) (Fig. 6 F, XY 1102). The result, however, suggests that they are conspecific. The phylogenetic tree (Fig. 11) and genetic distance (Table 3) indicate minimal genetic divergence between the individual with a typical brown pattern (Fig. 6 F, XY 1102; Fig. 11, SY 24) when compared to the specimen with white pereiopods (Fig. 6 E; Fig. 11, VX 20230501).	en	Sun, Yu-Li, Jiang, Wei, Sha, Zhong-Li (2024): Shallow-water Trapezioidea (Decapoda: Brachyura) from the South China Sea, including two new records, and notes on Tetralia glaberrima Herbst, 1790. 03EE87D1B22FFFCDFF4BFF5771E2FEA2.taxon	discussion	Remarks. Tetralia rubridactyla is one of the most common coral symbionts in the South China Sea. We found several different color patterns from the specimens collected. The brown color pattern is the most common (Fig. 5 A, B, NS-MJJ- 2022 - 1868), another color pattern, with light brown or orange-brown carapace with purple frontal and anterolateral margins is also common (Fig. 5 D, XS-QL- 2022 - 1048; Fig. 5 G, XS-QL- 2022 - 1074). In another color pattern, the body is uniform fuchsia with a conspicuous orange-red finger distinct from the carapace color (Fig. 5 C, NS-MJJ- 2022 - 1735). An uncommon color pattern is the rainbow pattern, where the specimen exhibits a green-bluepurple iridescence on the frontal area when alive and retains this iridescence in alcohol-preserved specimens, and the background color of chelipeds is almost white (Fig. 5 E, F, XS-QL- 2022 - 1047). This phenotype has been recorded on some websites before (Tetralia sp., Coral crab. Male. Dorsal view, http: // decapoda. aquarius-s. ru / tetraliidae / tetr _ nigr _ 01 en. html), and its adult size is the smallest of all color patterns (ovigerous female: CL 4.36 mm, CW 4.83 mm; male: CL 4.45 mm, CW 4.92 mm). In addition, a special color pattern was found on a tiny ovigerous female, which has a wide black band with clear edges followed the frontal and anterolateral margins of carapace, it also has yellow dactylus of all chelipeds and pereiopods (Fig. 5 K, L, SY 71), only the setae-filled depression on propodus and anterior margin of carpus of chelipeds are dark-brown showing it to be Te. rubridactyla. The juveniles and pre-adults have orange or yellow fingers of white chelipeds and black or brown band in the frontal and anterolateral margins of carapace (Fig. 5 H – J, NS-MJJ- 2022 - 1517, XS-QL- 2022 - 1020). Specimens with different color patterns were found at the same location, thus the diversity of color patterns is independent of the region and is suspected to be related to the color of host coral. Even with such striking differences in body coloration, their COI genes show almost no variation. COI sequences differences among samples with different color patterns are shown in the phylogenetic tree (Fig. 11).	en	Sun, Yu-Li, Jiang, Wei, Sha, Zhong-Li (2024): Shallow-water Trapezioidea (Decapoda: Brachyura) from the South China Sea, including two new records, and notes on Tetralia glaberrima Herbst, 1790. 03EE87D1B236FFD2FF4BFDAB72E7FB42.taxon	discussion	Remarks. This is a new record of Trapeziidae for the South China Sea, and this is the first time that the juvenile of Trapezia plana has been photographed (Fig. 9 B, NS-MJ- 2022 - 1750). The morphological characteristics and live coloration of the specimens studied here are identical to the description of Trapezia punctipes, which is the synonym of Tr. plana sensu Castro (1997). In addition, although the morphological features of the juvenile are not distinct, its coloration is also consistent with the description of Tr. punctipes (light orange body, orange-red spots on the walking legs, blue-grey eyes). We compared the COI sequence of it with other species of Trapezia reported herein, thus confirming that it is unique (Fig. 11; Table 3).	en	Sun, Yu-Li, Jiang, Wei, Sha, Zhong-Li (2024): Shallow-water Trapezioidea (Decapoda: Brachyura) from the South China Sea, including two new records, and notes on Tetralia glaberrima Herbst, 1790.
