03EF6B0DB004FFB6FC17F8DA769BFB5B.taxon	discussion	Remarks. Mescirtes wasungenensis is proposed as a replacement name for for Prionocyphon (Orientoprionocyphon) herthae Klausnitzer, 2009, a junior secondary homonym of Scirtes herthae Klausnitzer, 2005, now that both species are placed in the genus Mescirtes Motschulsky, 1863. This replacement name is authored by B. Klausnitzer only and should be cited as Mescirtes wasungenensis Klausnitzer in Yoshitomi & Klausnitzer. The specimens collected from Thailand (Figs. 2, 3) have different elytral maculation pattern from that of Laosian specimens (Fig. 4). After close examination of male genitalia, we concluded that these are infraspecific variation.	en	Yoshitomi, Hiroyuki, Klausnitzer, Bernhard (2016): A new species of the genus Mescirtes Motschulsky, 1863, (Coleoptera: Scirtidae: Scirtinae) from Vietnam, with a species list of the world.
