03F5879A3B5CC23DFF003FDFECC0FA20.taxon	diagnosis	Diagnosis: Coelotine spiders in the pseudoterrestris group can be easily distinguished from the atropos group and the charitonovi group by the large, anteriorly extending copulatory ducts in the female (Fig. 2), and in the male by the narrower patellar apophysis and the long, slender conductor (Figs 3, 4). The exitialis group from Japan, which is not well studied, is most similar to the pseudoterrestris group in having a narrow patellar apophysis and more or less slender, long conductor. The exitialis group species from Japan showed short, medially (between spermathecae) or slightly anteriorly extending copulatory ducts, which is different from the distinctly extending (either anteriorly or laterally) copulatory ducts.	en	Wang, Xin-Ping, Griswold, Charles E., Ubick, Darrell (2009): On the pseudoterrestris species group of the spider genus Coelotes (Araneae, Amaurobiidae). 03F5879A3B52C22DFF003CC5EF8AF92C.taxon	diagnosis	Diagnosis: This species resembles C. thailandensis in having the short, laterally arising epigynal teeth, similar atrium, anteriorly extending copulatory ducts and similar palp, but can be distinguished by the distinctly extending, folding copulatory ducts (as long as spermathecal length), strongly pointed distal end of patellar apophysis, and long, slender conductor which is longer than its dorsal apophysis (Figs 49 – 57).	en	Wang, Xin-Ping, Griswold, Charles E., Ubick, Darrell (2009): On the pseudoterrestris species group of the spider genus Coelotes (Araneae, Amaurobiidae). 03F5879A3B52C22DFF003CC5EF8AF92C.taxon	description	Description: Female (one of CASENT 9020441 measured): Large sized coelotine, total length 12.50 (Fig. 63). Eyes subequal in size, with lateral eyes slightly larger than median eyes (AME 0.19, ALE 0.24, PME 0.19, PLE 0.21); anterior eyes equally separated by slightly more than half of their diameter; PME separated from each other by slightly less than their diameter, from PLE by more than PME diameter (AME-AME 0.11, AME-ALE 0.11, PME-PME 0.16, PME-PLE 0.28, AME-PME 0.22) (Fig. 64). Chelicerae with 3 promarginal and 4 retromarginal teeth. Labium longer than wide (L / W = 1.20) (Fig. 65). Epigynal teeth short, arise anteriorly lateral to atrium, separated by more than atrial width; atrium small, with distinct, continuous anterior margin but indistinct lateral margins; copulatory ducts broad, extending anteriorly approximately the length of spermathecae, more or less folded longitudially; spermathecae with small bases and broad stalks; spermathecal heads arise distally from lateral side of spermathecae (Figs 49 – 54, 58 – 59, 69 – 70, 74 – 87). Male (one of CASENT 9020441 measured): Large sized coelotine, total length 12.00 (Fig. 66). Eyes subequal in size, with lateral eyes slightly larger than median eyes (AME 0.19, ALE 0.22, PME 0.21, PLE 0.22); AME separated from each other by 2 / 3 of their diameter, from ALE by about ½ of AME diameter; PME separated from each other by slightly less than their diameter, widely separated from PLE by more than PME diameter (AME-AME 0.13, AME-ALE 0.08, PME-PME 0.18, PME-PLE 0.27, AME-PME 0.24) (Fig. 67). Chelicera with 3 promarginal and 4 retromarginal teeth. Labium longer than wide (L / W = 1.21) (Fig. 68). Palpal patellar apophysis large, slightly extending and pointing distally; RTA more than half of tibial length, with distinctly protruding distal end; lateral tibial apophysis broad; cymbial furrow short, less than 1 / 3 of cymbial length; conductor slender, with a dorsal apophysis, a small basal lamella; median apophysis broad, round, spoon-shaped; embolus short, filiform, prolateral in origin (Figs 55 – 57, 60 – 62, 71 – 73). Notes: Female epigynal teeth vary slightly in length but are consistently arising anteriorly lateral to atrium, slightly posterior of anterior atrial margin, widely separated by slightly more than atrial width. Atrium also varies in size and shape from having a wide to a narrow anterior atrial margin. Copulatory ducts are consistently long, extending anteriorly, slightly folding longitudially but may vary in size and shape. Considering the variation in epigynal teeth, atrium, copulatory ducts and the different shapes of spermathecae, in addition to the widespread occurrence, there might be more than one species involved but the lack of sufficient male and female specimens from additional localities prevents us from making a more detailed hypothesis.	en	Wang, Xin-Ping, Griswold, Charles E., Ubick, Darrell (2009): On the pseudoterrestris species group of the spider genus Coelotes (Araneae, Amaurobiidae). AME smallest, ALE largest, posterior eyes subequal in size, slightly larger than AME; anterior eyes equally separated by 2 / 3 of AME diameter; PME separated from each other by ¾ of their diameter, from PLE by about 1.5 times PME diameter (Fig. 138). Promargin of chelicera with 3 teeth, retromargin 4. Labium with length and width subequal (L / W = 1.03) (Fig. 139). Palpal patellar apophysis large, without pointed distal end; RTA more than half of tibial length, extends distally; lateral tibial apophysis short, broad, distinctly separated from RTA; cymbial furrow short, about 1 / 3 of cymbial length; conductor short, about the same size as its dorsal apophysis, with a small basal lamella; median apophysis broad, round, spoon-shaped; embolus short, filiform, prolateral in origin, with thread start from middle part of embolic base (Figs 130 – 131, 134 – 136). Female: Large sized coelotine, total length 10.63 (Fig. 140). AME smallest, lateral eyes subequal in size, PME slightly larger than AME; AME separated from each other by ¾ of their diameter, from ALE by about 1 / 3 of AME diameter; PME separated from each other by slightly less than their diameter, from PLE by slightly more than PME diameter (Fig. 141). Epigynal teeth short, arising laterally at level between anterior atrial margin and epigastric furrow, separated by more than atrial width; atrium small, with distinct, continuous anterior margin but indistinct lateral margins; copulatory ducts large, contiguous, extending anteriorly, more or less round; spermathecae broad, closely set or slightly separated, slightly extending anteriorly; spermathecal heads short, indistinct, arising anteriorly (Figs 128 – 129, 132 – 133). Notes: The female specimen was identified by Dankittipakul et al. (2005) as C. thailandensis but shows a very different labium size ratio than that of the male holotype. The male holotype, from Khun Jae National Park, Chiang Rai Province, is subequal in labium length and width (L / W = 1.03), while the female, from Doi Inthanon National Park, Chiang Mai Province which is about 100 km away from locality of the holotype male (Dankittipakul et al. 2005), is much longer than wide (L / W = 1.20). The male labium usually has a larger ratio of length and width than the female. In addition, the male specimens from Doi Inthanon National Park also showed a much shorter patellar apophysis (less than half of patellar length) than those from Khun Jae National Park (as long as patellar length) (Dankittipakul et al. 2005: figures 11, 12). Further collection of both sexes from both localities is needed to adequately demonstrate their species status.	en	Wang, Xin-Ping, Griswold, Charles E., Ubick, Darrell (2009): On the pseudoterrestris species group of the spider genus Coelotes (Araneae, Amaurobiidae).
