Description.

Male. Body small, relatively stout.

Head. Fastigium verticis conical, apex rounded, dorsal surface with a thin longitudinal furrow. Eyes nearly globular, projecting forwards. Apical segment of maxillary palpi slightly longer than subapical one, apex slightly swollen. Thorax. Pronotum short, anterior and posterior margins straight; lateral lobe longer than high, posterior area narrowing, without humeral sinus. Thoracic auditory spiracle open. Legs. All femora unarmed on ventral surfaces, genicular lobes of all femora with apices rounded. Fore coxa with 1 spine; fore tibia with 4 pairs of comparatively short ventral spines; tibial tympana open on both sides, oval. Middle tibia with 5 pairs of comparatively short ventral spines. Hind tibia with 22 – 25 internal and external dorsal spines separately, apex with 1 pair of dorsal spurs and 2 pairs of ventral spurs. Wings. Tegmina short, terminals slightly surpassing posterior margin of pronotum, reaching middle area of first abdominal tergite; hind wings absent. Abdomen. Lateral areas of ninth abdominal tergite expanding posteriorly (Fig. 1D, E). Tenth abdominal tergite protruding backwards, posterior margin with a wide concavity; the lobes slightly broad, inner apical angles slightly acute, slightly curved ventrally (Fig. 1C, D). Cerci short, conical, apices rounded (Fig. 1D, E). Genitalia sclerotized and exposed, short, apical area narrowing, apex rounded (Fig. 1G). Subgenital plate long, obviously upcurved, with 2 lateral lobes, near basal areas expanded in inner surfaces, lamellar; lateral lobes with apices extended (Fig. 1D, F); without styli.

Female. Appearance is similar to that of male. Cerci short, conical; epiproct tongue-shaped. Subgenital plate nearly trapezoidal, posterior margin rounded. Ovipositor stout, moderately curved upwards, dorsal and ventral margins smooth, dorsal and ventral valvulae with apices acute.

Coloration. Body green when alive, yellowish green when dried and pinned. Eyes brown. Disc of pronotum on lateral margins with a pair of longitudinal yellowish stripes, posterior apical areas of stripes brown. Male cerci dark green, genitalia blackish brown.

Material examined. Holotype: ♂, Maoershan, Xing’an, Guangxi, China, 11 August, 2023, coll. Wenqing Lv. Paratype: 1♀, Caiwan, Quanzhou, Guangxi, China, 16 August, 2023, coll.
Measurements (mm). Body (distance from apex of fastigium verticis to posterior margin of tenth abdominal tergite): ♂ 10.5, ♀ 11.0–11.8; pronotum (distance from anterior to posterior margins of pronotum in the midline): ♂ 3.8, ♀ 3.7–4.0; tegmen (distance from base of tegmen to the apex): ♂ 1.8, ♀ 0.5–1.2; hind femur (distance from base of hind femur to apex of genicular lobe): ♂ 10.1, ♀ 10.0–10.8; ovipositor (the distance from the base of subgenital plate to the apex of ovipositor): 6.5–6.8.

Distribution. China (Guangxi).

Discussion. This new species resembles Acosmetura longielata Wang & Shi, 2020 , but it differs from the latter in: cerci of male short, conical; subgenital plate long, strongly upcurved, divided into 2 long lobes.

Etymology. The name of the new species is derived from male subgenital plate elongate, curved upwards and circularly, Latin “ bi- ” means two, “ circellat- ” means circular.
