038687A5FFA6FFE6FF088F5F0BFBDE74.taxon	discussion	Comment. Another subspecies, B. minor hybridus Horváth 1891, lives in Bulgaria, Macedonia, Romania, southern Russia, Ukraine (Crimea), and Georgia, a region where the nominal form is known too. According to Péricart (1984) the distinctive characters between them are not always well demarcated. Although Péricart (2001) considered the two subspecies valid, their sympatry is highly problematic.	en	Ghahari, Hassan, Moulet, Pierre (2012): An Annotated Catalog of the Iranian Berytidae and Piesmatidae (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Pentatomomorpha: Lygaeoidea). 038687A5FFA0FFE7FF088C360B4FD944.taxon	discussion	Comment. This species was identified upon only a single specimen caught in semi-desertic conditions on Abutilon theophrasti (Malvaceae) (Abd-Rabou & Ghahari 2006). J. spinosus has a more restricted area in USA and feeds mainly on panic grasses (Panicum spp., Poaceae) (Wheeler & Henry 1981). Another species, J. wickhami Van Duzee 1906, is a polyphagous bug, widely distributed in America and Mexico and more probably in some regions of the Palearctic. Additionally, the metacanthine berytids, including Jalysus species, develop mainly on well-glanded, pubescent hosts, feeding preferentially on glandular hairs or on arthropods entrapped by plant secretions (Wheeler & Schaefer 1982; Wheeler 1994). Many stilt bugs have greatly developed ostiolar processes that may extend upward and well above the hemelytra. The ostiolar process in the metacanthine genus Jalysus ends in a sharp spine, whereas these processes in Metacanthus and Pneustocerus extend outward, then curve posteriorly before ending in a rounded apex (Schaefer 1972; Henry 1997 a).	en	Ghahari, Hassan, Moulet, Pierre (2012): An Annotated Catalog of the Iranian Berytidae and Piesmatidae (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Pentatomomorpha: Lygaeoidea). 038687A5FFA3FFE5FF088F070B05DEBC.taxon	discussion	Comment. On Alhagi sp. (Fabaceae), Juncus sp. (Juncaceae), Tamarix sp. (Tamaricaceae) (Linnavuori 2011). Schaefer (1981) commented on the host specificity of the species of Piesmatidae. Most of the Piesma genus group (Piesma, Afropiesma, and Parapiesma) feed on a few genera of Chenopodiaceae, and a few feed on Caryophyllaceae, and one species (Parapiesma linnavouri Štys, 1969) feeds on Acacia (Fabaceae) (Elias & Cassis 2012). Heiss & Péricart (1983) gave detailed records of the available host plant information for the Palearctic Piesmatidae, which agreed with Schaefer’s considerations.	en	Ghahari, Hassan, Moulet, Pierre (2012): An Annotated Catalog of the Iranian Berytidae and Piesmatidae (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Pentatomomorpha: Lygaeoidea). 038687A5FFA2FFE5FF088DA10B2BD8DE.taxon	discussion	Comment. Péricart (1974) divided the genus Piesma into three subgenera including, Parapiesma Péricart, 1974, Afropiesma Péricart, 1974, and Piesma s. str. based on the structure of the antennal tubercle (pre-ocular tubercle of Heiss & Péricart 1983) and the spermatheca. Heiss & Péricart (1997) proposed that these subgenera should be elevated to the generic level. Schaefer (1972, 1981) conducted a phylogenetic analysis of the extant genera of Piesmatidae which included Piesma, Parapiesma, Afropiesma, Mcateella, Miespa, and Thaicoris. According to Heiss & Popov (2007), Thaicoris (and more generally the subfamily Thaicorinae) must be removed from Piesmatidae and transferred to Thaumastocoridae.	en	Ghahari, Hassan, Moulet, Pierre (2012): An Annotated Catalog of the Iranian Berytidae and Piesmatidae (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Pentatomomorpha: Lygaeoidea).
