R4+5 and M1 weakly convergent at extreme tip. Legs black except hind knees brownish. Left epandrial lamella much longer than right epandrial lamella. Hypandrium apically bifurcated with long acute right lateral process and short truncate right lateral process.</p><p>Description. Male. Body length 3.2 mm, wing length 2.5 mm.</p><p>Head black with pale gray pollinosity, except occiput shiny. Eyes contiguous on frons, brownish yellow with distinctly enlarged upper facets dark yellow. Setulae and setae on head black; ocellar tubercle distinct, with 2 long oc but without short posterior setulae. Antenna black; scape without setulae, pedicel with circlet of subapical setulae; first flagellomere much elongated, longer than scape and pedicel combined, with 1 dorsal setula; arista rather short (nearly as long as basal 3 antennal segments) and bare, apical 2/5 or so thin. Proboscis slightly shorter than head, blackish. Palpus blackish, with 4 ventral setulae.</p><p>Thorax black with pale gray pollinosity. Setulae and setae on thorax black, setulae on scutum short and rather sparse; ppn absent, 2 npl (posterior npl long), uniseriate dc nearly as long as irregularly biseriate acr, 1 short weak prsc, 1 psa slightly longer than prsc; scutellum with 4 short marginal setulae (2 setulae between sc) and 2 long sc. Legs black except hind knees brownish. Setulae and setae on legs black. Fore femur 1.25 times and hind femur 2.25 times as wide as mid femur. Fore and mid femora each with row of pv. Hind femur with 2 long spinose preapical ad and nearly two rows of spinose ventral setae on tubercles. Fore tibia slightly thickened. Hind tibia apically and tarsomeres 1–2 slightly thickened. Fore tibia with 1 ad near apex and 4–5 long setula-like pv on apical 2/3; apically with 4–5 setae (1 pv very long and setula-like). Mid tibia with 1 ad near apex; apically with 4 setae (1 av and 1 pv long). Hind tibia with several long setula-like dorsal setae on apical 1/2, apically with 4–5 weak setae (1 long setula-like dorsal seta erect). Hind tarsomeres 1–2 with short ventral setae. Wing nearly hyaline, stigma dark brown; veins dark brown, R4+5 and M1 weakly convergent at extreme tip. Squama brownish yellow with yellow setulae. Halter brown with knob somewhat pale.</p><p>Abdomen curved downwards, subshiny black with pale gray pollinosity; hypopygium distinctly swollen. Setulae and setae on abdomen black.</p><p>Male genitalia (Figs 1–4). Left epandrial lamella much longer than right epandrial lamella, with slightly convex inner margin near middle; left surstylus long finger-like, with short basal process and short acute inner process. Right epandrial lamella basally wide with convex inner margin; right surstylus short and thick, with truncate apical margin weakly serrate. Hypandrium distinctly longer than wide, apically bifurcated with long acute right lateral process and short truncate right lateral process.</p><p>Female. Unknown.</p><p>Type material. HOLOTYPE ♂, CHINA, Tibet, Medog (N29°19′ 41.38″ E95°19′ 55.55″), 2011. VIII.15, L.H. Wang.</p><p>Remarks. The new species is somewhat similar to H. henanensis Yang &amp; Yang from Henan, but it may be separated from the latter in the following characters: arista rather short (nearly as long as basal 3 antennal segments), bare; left epandrial lamella much longer than right epandrial lamella; left surstylus much elongated with short basal process and short acute inner process. In H. henanensis, the arista is distinctly longer than basal 3 antennal segments, pubescent; the left epandrial lamella is slightly shorter than right epandrial lamella; and the left surstylus is not elongated and without basal and inner processes (Yang &amp; Yang 2004).</p><p>Etymology. Mid tibia with 2 very long ad and 1 very long pv, apically with 4 long setae (1 pv very long). Hind tibia apically with 1 long thin brown pd. Fore tarsomeres 1–2 with some long thin setulae. Hind tarsomeres 1–2 with short spinose ventral setae. Wing hyaline; stigma indistinct; veins brown, R4+5 and M1 weakly divergent apically. Squama yellow with pale yellow setulae. Halter dark yellow.</p><p>Abdomen slightly curved downwards, subshiny blackish with pale gray pollinosity; hypopygium indistinctly swollen. Setulae and setae on abdomen black.</p><p>Male genitalia (Figs 5–8). Left epandrial lamella nearly as long as right epandrial lamella, with weakly convex inner margin near middle; left surstylus long thick but apically nearly acute, with short wide basal process irregular in shape. Right epandrial lamella relatively narrow with weakly convex inner margin near base; right surstylus short and wide, apically with subtriangular incision. Hypandrium rather wide, slightly longer than wide, with wide and slightly oblique apical margin bearing long setulae.</p><p>Female. Body length 3.5–3.8 mm, wing length 3.8–4.2 mm. Similar to male. Female terminalia: Tergite 8 well developed, strongly extended downward and ventrally fused, loop-like, ventrally with V-shaped apical incision. Tergite 10 nearly quadrate. Cercus basally wide, apically tapering and slightly curved downwards. Sternite 8 apically rounded with 2 close spinose setae at middle.</p><p>Type material. HOLOTYPE ♂, CHINA, Tibet, Nyingchi (N29°39′ 6.53″ E94°21′ 37.17″), Beibeng, 2011. VIII.11, L.H. Wang. PARATYPES: 2 ♀, same data as holotype.</p><p>Remarks. The new species is similar to H. similaris Yang &amp; Yang from Guizhou and Zhejiang, but it may be separated from the latter by the following characters: legs partly yellow, wings hyaline, left and right surstyli rather wide with irregular incision. In H. similaris, the legs are entirely black; the wing is grayish; the left and right surstyli are relatively narrow without incision (Yang &amp; Yang 2004).</p><p>Etymology. Hypandrium much longer than wide, apically narrowed with small subtriangular incision.</p><p>Description. Male. Body length 3.1 mm, wing length 2.9 mm.</p><p>Head black with pale gray pollinosity. Eyes contiguous on frons, dark yellow with enlarged upper facets. Setulae and setae on head black except setulae on posteroventral surface yellow; ocellar tubercle distinct, with 2 long oc and 2 short posterior setulae. Antenna black; scape without setulae, pedicel with circlet of subapical setulae; first flagellomere without dorsal setula; arista black, indistinctly pubescent, apical 1/3 or so thin. Proboscis nearly as long as head, blackish. Palpus blackish, with 5 ventral setulae.</p><p>Thorax black with pale gray pollinosity. Setulae and setae on thorax black, setulae on scutum short and sparse; ppn absent, 2 npl (posterior npl long), uniseriate dc nearly as long as irregularly biseriate acr, 1 short prsc, 1 psa as long as prsc; scutellum with 8 short marginal setulae (2 setulae between sc) and 2 long sc. Legs black. Setulae on legs yellow or brownish yellow and setae black, but setulae and setae on coxae yellow and setulae on tarsi partly blackish. Fore femur 1.1 times and hind femur 1.85 times as wide as mid femur. Fore and mid femora each with row of yellow thin av and pv. Hind femur with 2 long spinose preapical ad and two rows of spinose ventral setae on tubercles. Fore tibia with 1 ad near apex; apically with 3 setae. Mid tibia with 1 ad at middle; apically with 1 av and 1 pv. Hind tibia apically with 1 setula-like ad and pd somewhat erect. Fore tarsomere 1 with 4 long pv setulae somewhat erect. Hind tarsomeres 1–2 with short irregular ventral spines. Wing hyaline, brown stigma shorter and narrower than usual species; veins dark brown, R4+5 and M1 little divergent at extreme tip. Squama yellow with pale yellow setulae. Halter brown.</p><p>Abdomen nearly straight, subshiny black with pale gray pollinosity; hypopygium weakly swollen. Setulae and setae on abdomen mostly black except venter with yellow setulae and setae and hypopygium with pale yellow or brownish yellow setulae and setae.</p><p>Male genitalia (Figs 9–12). Left epandrial lamella slightly longer than right epandrial lamella, with weakly convex inner margin near middle; left surstylus short wide, but finger-like in dorsal view. Right epandrial lamella with weakly concave inner margin near middle; right surstylus short and wide, apically with nearly semicircular incision. Hypandrium much longer than wide, apically narrowed with small subtriangular incision.</p><p>Female. Unknown.</p><p>Type material. HOLOTYPE ♂, CHINA, Tibet, Nyingchi (N29°39′ 6.53″ E94°21′ 37.17″), 80K, 2011. VIII.19, L.H. Wang.</p><p>Remarks. The new species is very similar to H. longwanganus Yang &amp; Yang from Zhejiang, but it may be separated from the latter by the following characters: setulae and setae on thorax black; stigma short and narrow; hypandrium 1.5 times longer than wide, subapically with wide lateral incision. In H. longwanganus the setulae and setae on the thorax are yellow; the stigma is indistinct; and the hypandrium is 2 times longer than wide, subapically with a narrow lateral incision (Yang &amp; Yang 2004).</p><p>Etymology. Fore tibia apically with 1 long ad. Mid tibia with 1 very long ad and 1 very long av on median portion; apically with 4 setae (which of 1 av is very long). Hind tibia weakly thickened at tip, with 1 ad at middle; apically with 1 subapical ad, 1 pd and 1 av. Fore tarsomere 1 with 1 long pv at extreme base. Mid tarsomere 1 with 1 long pv at extreme base. Hind tarsomere 1 with short irregular ventral spines. Wing hyaline, stigma distinct, dark brown; veins brown, R4+5 and M1 weakly divergent apically. Squama yellow with pale yellow setulae. Hypandrium distinctly longer than wide, apically wide with irregular incision.</p><p>Female. Body length 3.8–3.9 mm, wing length 3.6–3.8 mm. Similar to male, but hind femur only with one row of 8–9 av. Female terminalia: Tergite 8 distinctly extended downwards, nearly quadrate, apically with weak incision. Tergite 10 indistinct. Cercus basally wide, apically nearly acute. Sternite 8 well developed, slightly longer than tergite 8, much longer than wide, apically nearly truncate.</p><p>Type material. HOLOTYPE ♂, CHINA, Shaanxi, Zhouzhi (N34°09′ 53.16″ E108°13′ 2.24″), Liaoxiancheng, 1808 m, 2013. VIII.12, X.K. Li. The specific name refers to the type locality Qinling Moutain.</p><p>Remarks. This new species is somewhat similar to H. gaoae Yang &amp; Yang from Guizhou, but can be easily separated from it by the following characters: setulae on thorax pale yellow; hind femur with two rows of sparse ventral spines; left and right surstyli with very wide incision. This species was described by Yang &amp; Yang (1987) from 5 females collected in Tibet, but its male is still unknown. It is peculiar and can be easily identified by the hind femur weakly thickened with one row of spinose ventral setae (Yang &amp; Yang 2004, fig. 389).</p><p>16. Hybos wudanganus Yang &amp; Yang, 1991. Oriental: China.</p><p>Hybos wudanganus Yang &amp; Yang, 1991: 5 . Type locality: Hubei, Wudangshan Mountain.</p><p>Distribution. China (Ningxia, Henan, Hubei).</p><p>Remarks. This species was described by Yang &amp; Yang (1991) from Hubei and also known to occur in Henan (Yang &amp; Yang 2004). Li &amp; Yang (2009) recorded it from Ningxia. Wing hyaline, slightly tinged brownish; stigma distinct, dark brown; veins brown, R4+5 and M1 weakly divergent apically. Squama yellow with pale yellow setulae. Halter yellow with dark brown base.</p><p>Abdomen strongly curved downwards, somewhat shiny black with pale gray pollinosity; hypopygium distinctly swollen. Left epandrial lamella nearly as long as right epandrial lamella, with slightly convex inner margin near base; left surstylus short and wide with short acute lateral corner.
