China (Yunnan).

Discussion. When examining the Homogryllacris specimens collected from Yunnan, we discovered four specimens sampled from Jinping, Yunnan are very similar to Homogryllacris yunnana Shi, Guo & Bian, 2012 with regard to the posterior processes on male tenth abdominal tergite, but they differ from the latter in the following: posterior processes of male tenth abdominal tergite distinctly shorter, basal halves cylindrical, apical halves compressed, sickle-shaped, not decussate, apical areas slightly incurved, tips subacute. Furthermore, DNA sequencing was implemented in two of these four specimens sampled from Jinping, Yunnan and two specimens of Homogryllacris yunnana Shi, Guo & Bian, 2012 sampled from Meizihu, Pu’er, Yunnan based on COI gene, respectively, the genetic distance between them is about 4.1%, which is far below the minimum value of interspecific genetic distances (The interspecific genetic distances range are 6.59–19.49% in the genus according to our analysis). As a consequence, with the consideration of morphological and molecular evidence, we regard these four specimens sampled from Jinping, Yunnan as a geographical population of Homogryllacris yunnana Shi, Guo & Bian, 2012 and the morphological difference mentioned above belongs to intraspecific variation.

https://treatment.plazi.org/id/038787F8FFC5D40FC99EF8F3FBEDFD27	Public Domain	No known copyright restrictions apply. China (Yunnan).

Discussion. This species was originally described by Liu et al. (2021) based on a male specimen (holotype: male, type locality: Gulinqing, Maguan, Yunnan) and two female specimens from the type locality. We examined specimens of the species from the type locality and one female was identified as this species based on the shape of seventh abdominal sternite and subgenital plate, but two male specimens are more similar to Homogryllacris brevispina Shi, Guo & Bian, 2012 with respect to male abdominal apex and differ from original description of Homogryllacris platycis Liu & Bian, 2021 in the following: posterior processes on tenth abdominal tergite obviously longer, moderately incurved on the whole apart from basal areas, apical areas decussate and pointing outwards. Furthermore, according to results of molecular species delimitation in most species of Homogryllacris based on COI gene (unpublished), samples from Gulinqing, Maguan, Yunnan and Yaoshan, Hekou, Yunnan were assigned into a single molecular operational taxonomic unit (MOTU) in all five approaches. As a consequence, morphological difference of posterior processes on male tenth abdominal tergite is regarded as intraspecific variation.

https://treatment.plazi.org/id/038787F8FFC0D40FC99EFD41FADFFA51	Public Domain	No known copyright restrictions apply.
