Male. Measurements (mm). Body length 3.20–5.52, LH 0.80–1.20, WH 0.82–1.24, WF 0.50–0.72, WOT 0.20–0.30. Color . Head and mesosoma black, metasoma dark brown; wings hyaline; antenna and legs light brown. Head. Malar space absent; median clypeal lobe angulate; gena not visible in dorsal view; mandible with one distinct ventralmost tooth and three remaining teeth fused; hypostoma strongly curved medially; frons punctured and smooth; frontal line absent; eye glabrous; anterior ocellus anterior to supra-ocular line. Mesosoma . Dorsal pronotal area punctured and smooth; notaulus narrow, incomplete anteriorly, diverging anterad; parapsidal signum narrow; metapostnotal median carina of metapectal-propodeal disc irregular, incomplete posteriorly. Hind wing thick, jugum not fused with remigium. Metasoma. Hypopygium with posterior margin incurved. Genitalia. Harpe with medial-dorsal corner partially arched, apical margin with small, well-delimited excavation, dorsal margin outcurved; cuspis divided in dorsal and ventral arms; dorsal arm laminar, apex acute and equally sized to ventral arm apex; ventral arm laminar and sharp, apex setose and anterior to apex of digitus; digitus with posterior margin smooth; aedeagus with apical lobe not gibbous, to such an extent that dorsal surface is flat, aedeagal apex posterior to apex of ventral arm of cuspis, with three pairs of apical lobes, outer lobe truncate, with apex posterior to inner lobe apex and inner lobe progressively narrowing apicad. Female. Unknown.</p><p>Variations. Third metapostnotal lateral carina of some paratypes of the type locality can be absent.</p><p>Differential diagnosis. This species is morphologically similar to C. paraensis by having the harpe with medial-dorsal corner partially arched, the apical margin with an emargination less than 0.15× the harpe length, the dorsal margin out curved and cuspis with ventral arm setose. However, C. awaguaja sp. nov. differs from C. paraensis by having the median clypeal lobe trapezoidal, the frontal line present and the anteromesoscutum with notaulus complete, whereas C. paraensis has the median clypeal lobe angulate, the frontal line absent and the anteromesoscutum with notaulus incomplete.</p><p>Etymology. The specific epithet awaguaja refers to the indigenous people “Awá-Guajá” from Maranhão, Brazil.</p><p>Material examined. Harpe with its surface strongly arched longitudinally to such an extent that it looks like bilaminar, apical margin slightly incurved, dorsal margin outcurved, divided in dorsal and ventral arms, dorsal arm bilaminar, apex rounded and posterior to ventral arm apex, ventral arm laminar and rounded, apex setose and anterior to apex of digitus; digitus with posterior margin smooth; aedeagus with apical lobe acute apically to such an extent that dorsal surface is slightly convex, aedeagal apex posterior to apex of ventral arm of cuspis, with two pairs of apical lobes, outer lobe apex posterior to inner lobe apex both acute apically. Head and mesosoma black, metasoma dark brown; wings hyaline; antenna and legs light brown. Head. Malar space absent; median clypeal lobe trapezoidal; gena not visible in dorsal view; mandible with four distinct apical teeth; hypostoma angled medially; frons punctured and smooth; frontal line absent; eye glabrous; anterior ocellus posterior to supra-ocular line. Mesosoma . Dorsal pronotal area punctured and smooth; notaulus complete, narrow, diverging posterad; parapsidal signum narrow; metapostnotal median carina of metapectal-propodeal disc irregular, incomplete posteriorly. Hind wing thick, jugum not fused with remigium. Metasoma. Hypopygium with posterior margin incurved. Genitalia. Female. Unknown.</p><p>Variations. Posterior ocellus crossing supra-ocular line is present in species from Maranhão and Piauí.</p><p>Differential diagnosis. This species is morphologically similar to C. spinipes by having the genitalia harpe with medial-dorsal corner partially arched, the apical margin of harpe slightly incurved, the dorsal margin of harpe outcurved and apical projection of basivolsella setose and posterior to the apex of digitus. However, C. guajajara sp. nov. differs from C. spinipes by having the transverse posterior carina absent, the paraspiracular carina absent, the metapostnotal median carina incomplete posteriorly, the aedeagus with apical lobe not gibbous to such an extent that dorsal surface is flat and with one pair of apical lobes, whereas C. spinipes has the transverse posterior carina present, the paraspiracular carina present, the metapostnotal median carina complete, the aedeagus with slightly gibbous to such an extent that dorsal surface is slightly convex with two pairs of apical lobes.</p><p>Etymology. The specific epithet guajajara refers to the indigenous people "Guajajara" from Maranhão, Brazil.</p><p>Material examined. Head and mesosoma black, metasoma dark brown; wings hyaline; antenna and legs light brown. Head. Malar space absent; median clypeal lobe angulate; gena not visible in dorsal view; mandible with five distinct apical teeth; hypostoma curved medially; frons punctured and smooth; frontal line narrow and carinate; eye glabrous; anterior ocellus posterior to supra-ocular line. Mesosoma . Dorsal pronotal area punctured and smooth; notaulus complete, broad, diverging posterad; parapsidal signum narrow; metapostnotal median carina of metapectal-propodeal disc irregular, incomplete posteriorly. Female. Unknown.</p><p>Variations. There are no variations.</p><p>Differential diagnosis. This species is morphologically similar to C. ocullatus by having the harpe whole arched to such an extent that is bilaminar, the apical harpal margin slightly incurved, the dorsal harpal margin outcurved, apical projection of basivolsella round and setose. However, C. kanela sp. nov. sp. nov. differs from C. ocullatus, by having the anterior ocellus posterior to supra-ocular line, the second metapostnotal lateral carina present, the posterior hypopygeal margin incurved, the genitalia cuspis apex aligned with apex of digitus and aedeagus with apical lobe gibbous to such an extent that dorsal surface is convex, whereas C. ocullatus has the anterior ocellus anterior to supra-ocular line, the second metapostnotal lateral carina absent, the posterior hypopygeal margin straight, the genitalia cuspis apex anterior to apex of digitus and aedeagus with apical lobe not gibbous to such an extent that dorsal surface is flat.</p><p>Etymology. The specific epithet kanela refers to the indigenous people “Kanela” from Maranhão and Piauí, Brazil.</p><p>Material examined. Male. Measurements (mm). Body length 3.20–4.08, LH 0.80–0.90, WH 0.88–1, WF 0.40–0.58, WOT 0.26–0.28. Color . Head and mesosoma black, metasoma dark brown; wings hyaline; antenna light brown; legs dark brown to light brown. Head. Malar space absent; median clypeal lobe angulate; gena not visible in dorsal view; mandible with three distinct apical teeth; hypostoma curved medially; frons punctured and coriaceous; frontal line narrow and carinate; eye glabrous; anterior ocellus anterior to supra-ocular line. Mesosoma . Dorsal pronotal area punctured and coriaceous; notaulus complete, broad, diverging anterad; parapsidal signum narrow; metapostnotal median carina of metapectal-propodeal disc irregular, complete posteriorly. Hind wing thick, jugum not fused with remigium. Metasoma. Hypopygium with posterior hypopygeal margin incurved. Genitalia. Male. Measurements (mm). Body length 2.48–4.48, LH 0.63–0.93, WH 0.62–0.94, WF 0.38–0.58, WOT 0.16–0.28. Color . Head and mesosoma black, metasoma dark brown; wings hyaline; antenna light brown; legs dark brown to light brown. Head. Malar space absent; median clypeal lobe trapezoidal; gena not visible in dorsal view; mandible with three distinct apical teeth; hypostoma angled medially; frons punctured and coriaceous; frontal line narrow and sulcate; eye glabrous; anterior ocellus posterior to supra-ocular line. Mesosoma . Dorsal pronotal area punctured and coriaceous; notaulus complete, narrow, diverging posterad; parapsidal signum narrow; metapostnotal median carina of metapectal-propodeal disc straight, complete posteriorly. Hind wing thick, jugum not fused with remigium. Metasoma. Hypopygium with posterior margin outcurved. Genitalia. Harpe flat, apical margin slightly incurved, dorsal margin straight, divided in dorsal and ventral arms, dorsal arm laminar, apex rounded and converging ventrally, ventral arm straight and glabrous posteriorly, apex aligned to apex of digitus; aedeagus with apical lobe slightly gibbous, so that dorsal surface is slightly convex, aedeagal apex posterior to apex of ventral arm of cuspis, with two pairs of apical lobes, lobes rounded apicad. Female. Unknown.</p><p>Variations. There are no variations.</p><p>Differential diagnosis. This species is morphologically similar to C. inca by having the harpe flat, the apical margin slightly incurved, the dorsal margin straight and the apical projection of basivolsella setose. However, C. tenetehara sp. nov. differs from C. inca by having the anterior ocellus anterior to supra-ocular line, the posterior hypopygeal margin straight, the cuspis apex rounded and posterior to apex of digitus, whereas C. inca has the anterior ocellus posterior to supra-ocular line, the posterior hypopygeal margin outcurved, the cuspis apex straight and aligned with apex of digitus.</p><p>Etymology. The specific epithet tenetehara refers to the indigenous people “Tenetehara” from Maranhão and Piauí, Brazil.</p><p>Material examined. Male. Measurements (mm). length 2.88–4.48, LH 0.75–0.90, WH 0.78–0.94, WF 0.46–0.58, WOT 0.20–0.24. Color . Head and mesosoma black, prothorax brown, metasoma dark brown; wings hyaline; antenna brown; legs dark brown to brown. Head. Malar space absent; median clypeal lobe angulate; gena not visible in dorsal view; mandible with one distinct ventralmost tooth and three remaining teeth fused; hypostoma angled medially; frons punctured and smooth; frontal line narrow and carinate; eye glabrous; anterior ocellus posterior to supra-ocular line. Mesosoma . Dorsal pronotal area punctured and smooth; notaulus complete, narrow, diverging posterad; metapostnotal median carina of metapectal-propodeal disc irregular, incomplete posteriorly. Genitalia. Harpe with medial-dorsal corner partially arched, apical margin with large excavation, dorsal margin straight, divided in dorsal and ventral arms, dorsal arm laminar, apex acute and diverging, ventral arm straight and setose posteriorly, apex posterior to apex of digitus; digitus with posterior margin smooth; aedeagus with apical lobe not gibbous to such an extent that dorsal surface is flat, aedeagal apex posterior to apex of ventral arm of cuspis, with two pairs of apical lobes, outer lobe apex anterior to inner lobe apex, outer lobe acute and inner lobe progressively narrowing. Female. Unknown.</p><p>Variations. There are no variations.</p><p>Differential diagnosis. This species is morphologically similar to C. quelatus by having the harpe with medial-dorsal corner partially arched, the apical margin with large excavation and the apical projection of basivolsella glabrous. However, C. tremembe sp. nov. differs from C. quelatus by having the hypostoma angled medially, the mesopleural epicoxal sulcus absent, the hypopygeal anteromedial apodeme absent, the dorsal harpal margin straight, the cuspis glabrous, the cuspis apex posterior to apex of digitus, the cuspis apex straight and aedeagus with one pair of apical lobes, whereas C. quelatus has the hypostoma curved medially, the mesopleural epicoxal sulcus present, the hypopygeal anteromedial apodeme present, the dorsal harpal margin outcurved, the cuspis setose, the cuspis apex anterior to apex of digitus, the cuspis apex sharp and aedeagus with two pairs of apical lobes.</p><p>Etymology.
