0389AE0DA0241D4522C26CF7EF5364EB.taxon	description	Description. Coloration. Vertex yellowish brown. Face pale-orange. Ocelli pale brown. Eyes black. Pronotum on anterior half pale yellowish brown, posterior half dark brown. Scutellum with basal black triangles and two pairs of central black spots. Forewing brown, veins dark brown. Abdomen yellow. Vertex, Scutellum and Pronotum with yellowish brown in female. Scutellum without central spots in female (Fig. 2). Morphology. Length of male 4.8 mm, female 5.5 – 6.2 mm. Vertex about 1.3 times as wide as long medially, slightly longer medially than next to eye. Face slightly broader than long (12: 11). Lora small. Distance between ocelli almost 2 times as long as distance from ocellus to eye, ocelli near apex of frontal suture. Eyes small, about one sixth as wide as head. Frontoclyepus oval, about as wide as long; clypellus expanded apically, bell-shaped, slightly longer than wide. Pronotum 2.2 times as wide as long, posterior margin slightly concave. Scutellum slightly wider than long. Forewing with 3 subapical cells, 1 st cell open, 2 nd and 3 rd closed. Male genitalia. Pygofer elongate, broadly triangular, narrow at base, apically broadly truncate, with small thin ventral process on inner surface; anal collar process spine-like tapered to apex. Subgenital plate long and narrow with few macrosetae on outer margin. Style slightly curved dorsally, apophysis broad in middle, gradually narrowing to pointed apex, with serrated ventral margin, without setae near apex. Connective T-shape with shallowly excavated posteriorly. 0389AE0DA0241D4522C26CF7EF5364EB.taxon	discussion	Remarks. This species is placed in Jogocerus based on the ventral pygofer process and anal collar process of the male, the slender second valvulae of the female, and the nearly identical color pattern of the type species. However, this generic placement must be considered provisional because the new species differs from the type species in the following respects: forewing with 3 subapical cells, the inner cell closed basally; pygofer ventral process small and slender, anterior dorsal apodemes absent; anal collar process spine-like, tapered to apex; style gradually narrowing to pointed apex; connective only shallowly excavated posteriorly; aedeagus with pair of lamellate processes in middle.	en	Zhang, Bin, Li, Zi-Zhong (2008): First report on the leafhopper genus Jogocerus Viraktamath (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae) from China, with description of one new species.
