03978785FFBA786FFF7B0DBAFE175BF7.taxon	etymology	Etymology: The name of this species is an adjective that means very sharping (from the Latin acuminis) in reference to the shape of the aculeus tip. Recognition. In the key of Korytkowski (2004) A. acuminata runs to page 97, alternative 153, to A. duckei Lima or A. irretita Stone. The new species differ from A. duckei in the aculeus tip ratio, four times as long as wide in A. duckei and 1.94 – 2.71 times in A. acuminata. The serrate part is near a half of the aculeus tip in A. irretita and 7 / 8 in the new species. This species is most similar to A. caudata Stone in the size and shape of the aculeus. Anastrepha acuminata differs from A. caudata because it has more hooks on the eversible membrane (Fig 2. A), by its shorter aculeus, by the lack of ocellar setae and because the wing pattern is mostly yellow in the new species and the hyaline area in cell br is extended to vein R 4 + 5, the pattern is mostly brown in A. caudata and the hyaline area in cell br is narrow, not extended to vein R 4 + 5.	en	Canal, Nelson A. In the paratype teeth of the aculeus tip hardly visible in 40 x, but easily visible in holotype (Figs 3. A, B). 03978785FFBA786FFF7B0DBAFE175BF7.taxon	discussion	Comments. The aculeus of this species resembles the species of the caudata group (Norrbom & Caraballo 2003), however other apomorphic characters are different. The wing pattern is yellow and the hyaline area in cell br is extended to vein R 4 + 5, distal hyaline area in cell dm is not narrowed and the oviscape is entirely yellow, thus A. acuminata does not belong to this group. Based in aculeus tip shape, particularly the size of serrate part and the slight constriction before it, A. acuminata belongs to fraterculus group. The holotype and paratype differ in the size of the teeth on the aculeus tip, but as other characters, including the absence of the ocellar setae and their body size are similar, it does not seem reasonable to consider these specimens to be different species. 03978785FFB9786BFF7B080AFD415899.taxon	etymology	Etymology: The name of this species is in memoriam of I. A. Guillermo Augusto Carrero Herran, who worked with Colombian Tephritidae for a long time. Recognition: In the key of Korytkowski (2004), A. carreroi runs to page 104, alternative 168, to A. compressa Stone or A. canalis Stone, especially because part of the serrate margin of the aculeus tip is turned upward. A. carreroi differs from those species in its larger body size, longer aculeus (2.48 – 2.62 mm vs 1.44 – 1.6 mm), and in lacking a medial scutal vitta.	en	Canal, Nelson A. 03978785FFB9786BFF7B080AFD415899.taxon	discussion	Comments. A nastrepha carreroi belongs to the fraterculus group based on the slight constriction before the serrate part in the aculeus tip, part of the aculeus tip serrate, and the subscutellum and mediotergite sometimes with brown lateral marks. A lot of specimens were collected from fruits in surveys in 1998 and from 2006 to present. More than 200 specimens had been collected from different surveys of fruits; only the specimens cited in the type data were selected to be types. Host: Specimens studied were reared from fruits of Anon amazonico (Rollinia mucosa (Jacq.), Annonaceae) and another unidentified Rollinia sp.	en	Canal, Nelson A. 03978785FFBD786AFF7B0AF0FE23594C.taxon	etymology	Etymology: The name of this species is an adjective meaning winding (from Latin sinuosum) in reference to the shape of the edge of the aculeus tip. Recognition: In the key of Korytkowski (2004) A. sinuosa runs to page 71 to A. lanceola. The shape of the aculeus of A. sinuosa is a distinctive character distinguishing it from any other species in the genus because the aculeus is very slender (0,05 mm wide) and the aculeus tip is long and sinuous. Tigrero & Salas (2007) described A. tumbalai which is similar to A. sinuosa in most aspects, but these species differ by the follow characters: A. tumbalai ratio aculeus length / oviscape length 0.85 (aculeus shorter than oviscape), aculeus tip length / aculeus length 0.07 and aculeus tip serrate and sharp. In A. sinuosa the ratio of aculeus / oviscape length 1,0 (i. e. aculeus length equals oviscape length), aculues tip / aculeus length 0.058 and the aculeus tip is not serrate and blunt. The new species resembles A. lanceola Stone, but the aculeus is thinner in the new species; the aculeus tip in A. lanceola has lateral protuberances near the end of the oviduct and in the new species there are protuberances at the end of oviduct and at the apex, and the aculeus tip is serrate and sharp in A. lanceola but not serrate and blunt in A. sinuosa, the eversible membrane has 20 rather large hooks in A. lanceola and three rows of different shape teeth in the new species.	en	Canal, Nelson A. Aculeus 5.69 mm long, 0.05 mm wide at midlength, 0.063 mm depth at the end of oviduct, 0.025 mm depth at the middle of the aculeus tip and 0.038 mm depth at the apex. Aculeus tip (Fig 3. 03978785FFBC786AFF7B0BDEFBFD5BE9.taxon	description	This species was described recently by Norrbom & Korytkowski (2009) from Ecuador and Brazil. The examined specimen differs from the types because of its paler colour pattern; the extension from the base of the S-band in the middle of cell cu 1 is weak and apparently is not connected with the V band. These specimen could be teneral and it explain the wing color differences. The spiracles of the oviscape on Colombian specimen are at the basal 0.98 mm. Additional characters for the Colombian specimen include: Head: 1.14 mm long, 2.14 mm high, 1.41 mm wide. 3 - 4 frontal setae (3 on right side, 4 on left). Antenna 0.76 mm long, 0.20 mm wide, arista pubescent. Thorax: 4.05 mm long, 2.82 mm wide. Wing (Fig 1. D): 9.0 mm long, 3.73 mm wide. Female terminalia: Oviscape 1.97 mm long.
