            <p>Redescription. male: Body 12.5−17.5 mm long and 2.5−3.0 mm wide, predominantly yellowish-brown to reddishbrown, except apex of mandibles dark brown and compound eyes black, and antennae with dark brown and slightly paler flagellum. Entire body and appendages clothed with short golden pubescence; presence of scattered dark hairs on undersides of basal antennomeres, and some erect yellow hairs on pronotum and elytra. Head, pronotal disc, metepisternum and sides of abdominal segments finely and densely punctured. Elytra with basal half of disc bearing six longitudinal rows of coarse and deep punctures, latter becoming gradually finer and disorganized towards apex.</p>
            <p>Head nearly as long as wide, slightly wider than prothorax, with surface finely and densely punctured. eyes very large, with inferior lobes 3 times longer than genae; depression between base of antennae and head with a medial groove. Antennae approximately as long as body; third antennomere longest, longer than scape and fourth, latter becoming shorter.</p>
            <p>Pronotum in dorsal view about as long as wide, slightly constricted basally and apically; apical and basal margins shallowly emarginate in middle; central disc slightly raised. Scutellum trapezoidal, with posterior margin shallowly emarginate in middle. elytra approximately 4.3 times longer than combined humeral width, and 3.0 times longer than head and pronotum combined, in dorsal view slightly constricted on basal third; apex obliquely truncate with acute sutural and marginal angles. Posterior legs with femora reaching level of posterior edge of abdominal ventrite iv and tibiae approximately 2 times as long as tarsi.</p>
            <p>Abdominal ventrite vii with shallow medial depression extended on entire length.</p>
            <p>Male genitalia: Tergite VIII densely clothed with short hairs, transverse, apex truncated and shallowly emarginate, broadly (Fig. 6 a). Tegmen curved in lateral view, lateral lobes elongate with round apex, dorsal surface mostly covered with long setae; base of each lateral lobe transversely and obliquely ridged ventrally, those ridges densely furnished with fine hairs (Fig. 6 b–e). Median lobe 0.8 times as long as tegmen and curved in lateral view; median struts 0.6 times as long as median lobe; ventral plate with apex rounded, and median foramen rounded (Fig. 6 f); endophallus with 2 pairs of slender subapical sclerites, both very slender, baculiform and long pair 1.2 times as long as short one (Fig. 6 g).</p>
            <p>Female: Body 13.0–17.0 mm long and 2.5–3.0 mm wide. Frons wider than that of male. inferior lobes of eyes 1.5 times as long as genae. Abdominal ventrite vii with a narrow medial groove.</p>

            <p>Redescription. male: Body 14.0–18.0 mm long and 2.5–3.0 mm wide, predominantly yellowish-brown to reddishbrown, except apex of mandibles, and apex of ventrite vii black, and antennae hind tibiae and tarsi usually dark brown. Entire body and appendages clothed with short golden pubescence; presence of scattered dark hairs on undersides of basal antennomeres, and some erect yellow hairs on pronotum and elytra. Head, pronotal disc, metepisternum and sides of abdominal segments finely and densely punctured. Elytra with basal half of disc bearing six longitudinal rows of coarse and deep punctures, the latter becoming gradually finer and disorganized towards apex.</p>

            <p> Remarks.  O. brevicollis Fairmaire, 1895 was preoccupied by  O. brevicollis Pascoe, 1867 . A replacement name  O. fairmairei was given by Aurivillius (1923), which was then downgraded to subspecies of  O. fuscipennis ssp. fairmairei Aurivillius by Breuning.  Oberea diversipes Pic was synonymized with  O. fuscipennis (Chevrolat) (Breuning, 1967) . However, an examination of the holotypes of the nominal species and comparison of male genitalia shows that  O. diversipes Pic and  O. brevicollis Fairmaire are the same species, different from  O. fuscipennis . </p>

            <p>Redescription. male: Body 15.0– 15.5 mm long and 2.0– 2.1 mm wide, predominantly yellowish-brown to reddishbrown, except apex of mandibles, apex of elytra and antennae dark brown. Entire body and appendages clothed with short golden pubescence; presence of scattered dark hairs on undersides of basal antennomeres, and some erect yellow hairs on pronotum and elytra. Head, pronotal disc, metepisternum and sides of abdominal segments finely and densely punctured. Elytra with basal half of disc bearing six longitudinal rows of coarse and deep punctures, the latter becoming gradually finer and disorganized towards apex.</p>

Tegmen curved in lateral view, lateral lobes elongate and slender, dorsal surface mostly covered with long setae; base of each lateral lobe transversely and obliquely ridged ventrally, those ridges densely furnished with fine hairs (Fig. 11 b–e). Median lobe 0.9 times as long as tegmen and curved in lateral view; median struts 7/10 as long as median lobe; dorsal plate slightly longer than ventral plate; ventral plate with apex rounded, and median foramen acutely angled (Fig. 11 f). endophallus with 2 pairs of slender subapical sclerites, longer pair very slender, baculiform, shorter pair fused at base and 4.0 times shorter than long one (Fig. 11 g).</p>
            <p>Female: 14.9 mm long and 2.5 mm wide. Frons wider than that of male. inferior lobes of eyes 1.5 times as long as genae. Abdominal ventrite vii with a narrow medial groove.</p>

            <p> Remarks. This species was first described by Pic in 1936, and downgraded as a variation (Breuning, 1962), then as a morph of  O. fuscipennis (Chevrolat) (Breuning, 1967) . Wang &amp; Chiang (1988) listed it as subspecies  O. fuscipennis infratestacea in a table, but without any comment. According to our examination of the types and comparison of male genitalia, we conclude that  O. infratestacea Pic and  O. fuscipennis (Chevrolat) are different species. </p>
