039C87AD1903FFB4FF3FF892FAEAE8E0.taxon	distribution	Distribution The Micropotamia species are widely distributed; however, there are extensive geographical areas with little or no collection records. Previously, Micropotamia species were distributed in the following regions in Brazil (M. amazonica: Amazonas and Roraima; M. cilitibia: Mato Grosso do Sul, Rio de Janeiro, and Rio Grande do Sul; M. minuscula: Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, and São Paulo) and Mexico (M. fuscisquama: Guerrero) (Fig. 45 A) (Löwenberg-Neto & de Carvalho 2013). This contribution has broadened the known distribution of species in Brazil and Costa Rica, as follows: Brazil: Acre, Amazonas, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Paraná, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, São Paulo; Costa Rica: Puntarenas Province (Fig. 45 B).	en	Jorge, Stela Costa, Carvalho, Claudio José Barros De (2024): Description of four new species of the Neotropical Micropotamia Carvalho (Diptera, Muscidae).
