Holotype 3, glued on triangular card and labelled: China, Yunnan, Pingbian / Daweishan 1333 (m) / N 2259.405, E 10341.072 / 2009 V 23 Bai XS / Ent. Mus. CAU, Beijing // Holotype &amp; / Vietnamaptera / secunda n. sp. / des. Bai, Heiss, Cai 2011 (CAU). Paratypes: 63 2ƤƤ collected with holotype (CAU, 1Ƥ CEHI); 1&amp;1Ƥ China SE Yunnan / Daweishan Mts. 1700m / sifted / 15 V 2008 Vondrak (CEHI).</p><p>Diagnosis. Differs from bogiessa by the clypeus shorter than antennal segment I, and from tertia n. sp. and quarta n. sp. by the characters given in the key.</p><p>Description. Apterous male; colouration of body black, legs and antennae dark brown, thorax and abdomen with bulbous dorsal elevations; surface with deep punctures and rugosities, partly smooth.</p><p>Head: Distinctly wider than long (23/19); clypeus shorter than antennal segment I, its apex subacute and projecting over lateral genae; antenniferous lobes short and pointed; antennae 1.22x as long as width of head (28/23), segment I strongly bent at base and thickest, II thinner and shortest, III thinnest and longest, IV as long as I and fusiform; length of antennal segments I/II/III/IV = 7/6/8/7; granular eyes oval inserted in head; postocular lobes roundly converging toward constricted collar; vertex with a median longitudinal ridge flanked by 2 (1+1) carinae and ovate depressions laterally. Rostrum arising from a slit-like atrium, as long as head, lateral margins of rostral groove carinate.</p><p>Pronotum: Fused to mesonotum but separated by a deep transverse sulcus. More than 5x as wide as long (53/ 10), rectangular anterolateral angles separated by a deep incision from lateral projection of ring-like collar; lateral margins anteriorly carinate and concave, posterolateral lobes elevated, rounded, with granulate surface and have an upper and a lower edge separated by a longitudinal sulcus; disk with a rugose elevation at middle, this longitudinally sulcate, laterally and posteriorly smooth, posterior margin convex and raised.</p><p>Mesonotum: Fused to metanotum but fusion line marked by a deep transverse groove. About 8x as wide as long (57/7) consisting of a rounded granulate elevation with a longitudinal sulcus at middle and 2 (1+1) lateral transverse sclerites with rugose surface, their lateral marginsraised and granulate and seemingly doubled by an upper and a lower lobe.</p><p>Metanotum: Fused to mtg I+II, a thin transverse suture indicating fusion line; median rounded granular elevation as high but shorter than that of mesonotum; lateral sclerites strongly raised along posterior margins, these sloping to anterior groove, their surface smooth anteriorly, rugose posteriorly, lateral margins raised to ovate granulate lobes.</p><p>Mtg I+II: Completely fused; mtg I with 2(1+1) large ovate rugose elevations depressed at middle; mtg II with a lower subrectangular smooth elevation at middle, surface lateral of these elevated structures smooth and sloping toward lateral margins.</p><p>Abdomen: Tergal plate with a bituberculate granulate elevation, this highest on mtg III–IV, lateral parts with smooth surface; a pivot-like projection on mtg V directed posteriorly and reaching tergite VII; deltg I+II fused to a triangular sclerite anteriorly reaching to mesonotum; lateral margins of deltg II–VII angularly projecting, surface with deep punctures and carinae, pe-angles raised and granulate; tergite VII strongly raised medially for reception of pygophore, its surface with two larger tubercles; spiracles II–VII lateral placed on reflexed vltg II–VII and visible from above, VIII terminal on paratergites VIII.</p><p>Venter: Surface of median parts of meso- and metasternum and sternites II–VII smooth and subglabrous, that of prosternum pleura and vltg II–VII granulate and rugose; sternite VII with 2(1+1) ovate finely granulate elevations (Fig. 2).</p><p>Legs: Slender and unarmed, femora and tibiae straight and cylindrical; claws with thin long pseudopulvilli.</p><p>Genitalic structures: Pygophore declivous posteriorly, exposed surface irregularly rugose; parameres as Figs. 9–11.</p><p>Female: General structures as in male but of larger size; pivot-like projection of mtg V reduced and not reaching tergite VII; sternite VII without a peculiar structure; tergite VIII shorter than triangularly projecting tergites IX+X.</p><p>Measurements. Holotype 3: length 5.0mm; width of abdomen across tergite III 3.05mm, variation of length in paratypes: 3 4.9–5.2mm, Ƥ 5.8–6.1mm.</p><p>Etymology. Holotype 3 glued on triangular card and labelled: China, Yunnan, Hekou / Yaoshan 1345m / N 2249.435, E 10821’21 / 2009 V 22, Bai XS / Ent. Mus. CAU, Beijing // Holotype 3 / Vietnamaptera / tertia n. sp. / des. Bai, Heiss, Cai 2011 (CAU); paratype 33 1Ƥ collected with holotype are designated accordingly (CAU, 13 CEHI).</p><p>Diagnosis. This species is distinguished from bogiessa by its clypeus being shorter than antennal segment I and differs from the other two new species by the characters given in the key.</p><p>Description. Apterous male, colouration of body black, legs and antennae dark brown, median irregular bulbous elevations developed on thorax and abdomen, surface with punctures and irregular rugosities, venter partly smooth.</p><p>Head: Slightly wider than long (17.5/16); clypeus shorter than antennal segment I, its apex blunt and not projecting over laterally expanded genae; antenniferous lobes short with subacute apices; antennae 1.45x as long as width of head (25.5/17.5), segment I bent at base and thickest, II more slender as long as I, III thinnest and longest, IV fusiform; length of antennal segments I/II/III/IV = 5.5/5.5/8/6.5; eyes granulate inserted in head; postocular lobes granular at base then straight converging to constricted collar; vertex with three longitudinal carinae and ovate lateral depressions. Rostrum arising from a slit-like atrium, as long as head, lateral margins of rostral groove carinate.</p><p>Pronotum: Pro-, meso-, and metanota and mtg I+II fused but separated by transverse grooves or sutures. About 5x as wide as long (43/9); anterolateral angles more rounded and carinate and not produced over lateral projections of ring-like collar from which separated by a deep incisures; lateral margins concave and carinate, posterolaterally raised and granulate, lower edge hardly visible from above; disk anteriorly with bilobate granulate elevation with median longitudinal groove, surface posteriorly depressed, lateral areas rugose.</p><p>Mesonotum: About 9x as wide as long (43/5) consisting of round granulate median elevation this fused to metanotal elevation and extending to posterior margin of latter; lateral transverse sclerites anteriorly smooth and rugose along carinate posterior margins, raised to granulate ovate lobes laterally.</p><p>Mtg I+II: Median granulate elevation of mtgI consisting of 2 (1+1) large transverse ovate humps these fused to smaller median granulate hump of mtg II, fusion line marked by a transverse furrow, lateral portions deeply depressed and smooth.</p><p>Abdomen: Tergal plate with a large rounded granular elevation this highest on mtg IV; lateral parts deeply punctured and rugose; pivot-like projection arising medially from tergite VII is directed posteriorly but not reaching the sloping mtg V–VI; structure of deltg II–VII and position of spiracles as in secunda n. sp.</p><p>Venter: Surface of median parts of meso- and metasterna, middle of sternites II–VII smooth and glabrous; prosternum, pleura, lateral parts and vltg of sternites II–VII granulate and rugose; sternite VII with a smooth ovate median plate, its apex finely punctured (Fig. 4).</p><p>Legs: Slender and unarmed as in secunda n. sp.</p><p>Genitalic structures: Pygophore declivous posteriorly, surface granular; parameres as figs. 15–17.</p><p>Measurements. Holotype 3: length 3.8 mm, width of abdomen across tergite III 2.5 mm; paratype 3: length 4.0 mm.</p><p>Etymology. Holotype 3 glued on a card and labelled: P. R. China, Yunnan E / slope of Gaoligongshan / N 2746.8’, E 09833.1’, 12- / 15 VI 2009, 200– 300 m / sifting, V. Grebenikov // Holotype 3 / Vietnamaptera / quarta n. sp. / des. Bai, Heiss, Cai 2011 (CNCO); paratypes: 33 collected with holotype are designated accordingly (CNCO, CEHI). A specimen L5 was collected with the type series.</p><p>Diagnosis. As both other species quarta n. sp. is distinguished from bogiessa primarily by the clypeus shorter than antennal segment I, from secunda n. sp. and tertia n. sp. by several characters given in the key.</p><p>Description. Apterous male, colouration of body dark brown to black, antennae and legs dark brown; dorsal side with distinct irregular median elevations on thorax and abdomen; surface with deep punctures and rugosities.</p><p>Head: Slightly longer than wide (19/18); clypeus with triangular apex produced over lateral genae; antenniferous lobes short with subacute apices; antennae 1.36x as wide as width of head (24.5/18), segment I shortest and strongly bent at base, II more slender, III slender and longest, IV fusiform; length of antennal segments I/II/III/IV = 5.5/6/7/6; eyes granulate and somewhat inserted in head; postocular lobes with a few setigerous tubercles at base then carinate and straightly converging toward constricted collar; vertex with a granulate median ridge flanked by 2 (1+1) lateral carinae and ovate depressions. Rostrum arising from a slit-like atrium, as long as head, lateral margins of rostral groove carinate.</p><p>Pronotum: Pro-, meso-, and metanota and mtg I+II fused but separated by transverse grooves or sutures. About 4.3x as wide as long (43/10); anterolateral angles rounded and granulate distinctly produced over lateral projections of ring-like collar from which they are separated by deep incisures; lateral margins carinate and raised posterolaterally ending in knob-like upper lobe, whose lower lobe wider and subangulate; disk with 2 (1+1) triangular anteriorly enlarged carinate elevations with deep groove in between, lateral surface flattened.</p><p>Mesonotum: Wider than pronotum; lateral lobes strongly raised and granulate at ends; median bilobate granulate elevation fused to that of metanotum bearing a median groove, surface between rugose lateral and median elevations carinate and smooth.</p><p>Metanotum: Narrower than mesonotum and sloped from raised posterior margin toward deep groove between meso- and metanotum; lateral angles ending in a larger tubercle.</p><p>Mtg I+II: Completely fused; mtg I with to ovate granulate humps at middle separated by a deep groove, posteriorly followed by a bicarinate lower structure of mtg II, surface of latter and of lateral parts of fused mtg I+II smooth and glabrous.</p><p>Abdomen: Tergal plate with a narrow rugose median elevation this highest on mtg III–IV; lateral parts with deep punctures and carinae marking the apodemal impressions; surface glabrous; a pivot-like projection is not developed; structure of deltg II–VII and position of spiracles as in both other new species.</p><p>Venter: Deep transverse grooves separate pro- meso- and metasternum and sternites II–VII; prosternum keeled at middle, meso-, and metasternum each with three deep round punctures in transverse row between coxae, remaining surface smooth and glabrous; surface of sternites II–VII glabrous at middle, their lateral parts and vltg as well as pleural regions of thorax deeply punctured and rugose; sternite VII triangularly produced anteriorly, its surface with irregular rugosities except a smooth longitudinal median area (fig.6).</p><p>Legs: Structure as in secunda n. sp.</p><p>Genitalic structures: Basically as in other species; pygophore with a short split basal carina; paramers as figs. 12–14.</p><p>Measurements. Holotype 3: length 4.2 mm; width of abdomen across tergite III 2.55 mm; variation of length in paratypes 4: 4.2–4.3 mm.</p><p>Etymology.
