Hypandrium without a projection in the middle; phallosomal side struts proximally not fused, external parameres distally forked, with a small triangular projection on each inner margin; two pairs of endophallic sclerites, an antero-lateral pair short, slender, sinuous, narrowing distally, and a mesal pair stout, almost triangular, anteriorly concave and almost touching in the middle, narrowing distally and curved inwards.</p><p>Color (in 80 % ethanol). Compound eyes black; head pattern (Fig. 1). Scape and pedicel brown, f1–f3 brown. Mx4 brown with apex dark brown. Femora yellow; tibiae brown with apex dark brown; tarsomeres 1–3 brown. Forewings almost hyaline, as illustrated (Fig. 2); a brown spot on confluence of Cu 2 –1 A; veins brown. Hindwing (Fig. 4), almost hyaline throughout, veins brown.</p><p>Morphology. Compound eyes without interommatidial setae. Outer cusp of lacinial tip broad, with four denticles markedly sclerotized (Fig. 5). Forewing pterostigma anteriorly narrow, wider in the middle, narrowing posteriorly, areola postica tall, wide basally, slightly slanted posteriorly with round apex, left forewing M with five primary branches, M 5 forked, resulting in M 5a and M 5b (Fig. 2), right forewing M with five primary branches, M 5 three branched, resulting in M 5a, M 5b1 and M 5b2 (Fig. 3, see also variation of the paratypes below). Hindwing M vein sinuous, Rs straight, R 2+3 and R 4+5 straight (Fig. 4). Hypandrium of one sclerite, slightly concave anteriorly, posteriorly U shaped, setae as illustrated (Fig. 6). Phallosome (Fig. 7) with side struts proximally not fused, posteriorly fused to external parameres, these stout, distally forked, with two pointed processes on the inner side, forming an almost closed elliptic area enclosing a membrane with pores, partially projected out, distally with a small triangular projection on each inner margin. Two pairs of endophallic sclerites; antero-lateral pair short, slender, sinuous, narrowing distally; a mesal pair stout, almost triangular, each arm anteriorly concave and almost touching in the middle, narrowing distally and curved inwards. Paraprocts stout, broad, irregularly shaped, sensory fields with 32–33 trichobothria on basal rosettes; setae as illustrated (Fig. 8). Epiproct anteriorly straight, sides converging to round posterior border; a long seta mesally near each side, other setae as illustrated (Fig.8).</p><p>Measurements (in microns). FW: 3852, HW: 2495, F: 996, T: 1772, t1: 724, t2: 78, t3: 143, f1: 862, f2: 910, f3: 816, Mx4: 222, IO: 378, D: 474, d: 298, PO: 0.62.</p><p>Variation of paratypes. Paratype (P1) both forewings as the right forewing of the holotype and with both hindwings as the holotype. Paratype (P2) left forewing as the right forewing of the holotype, right forewing with M vein five branched, but without secondary branches (Fig. 9) and with both hindwings as the holotype. Paratype (P3) left forewing with M vein five branched, with M 2 forked resulting in M 2a, M 2b and M 5 two branched resulting in M 5a and M 5b (Fig. 10), right forewing with M vein five branched, with M 1 incomplete (Fig. 11) and with both hindwings as the holotype. Paratype (P4) left forewing as the right forewing of the holotype, rigth forewing with M vein four branched, with M 4 forked resulting in M 4a and M 4b (Fig. 12) and with both hindwings as the holotype. Paratype (P5) left forewing as the right forewing of the holotype, right forewing with M vein four branched, with M 4 three branched, resulting in M 4a, M 4b and M 4c, with all branches having a close origin (Fig. 13) and with both hindwings as the holotype. Paratype (P6) left forewing with M vein four branched, with M 4 three branched, resulting in M 4a, M 4b1 and M 4b2 (Fig. 14), right forewing as the right forewing of the holotype and with both hindwings as the holotype. Paratype (P7) left forewing as the right forewing of the holotype, right forewing with M vein four branched, with M 4 three branched, resulting in M 4a, M 4b1 and M 4b2 (as in figure 14), and with both hindwings as the holotype.</p><p>Etymology. Hypandrium with a posterior projection in the middle, straight, blunt ended; side struts proximally not fused, external parameres distally not forked, with two projections, one elongated, directed outwards, another short, almost rectangular, anteriorly with a small acuminate projection on the outer margin; antero-lateral pair of endophallic sclerites proximally slender, widening posteriorly, slightly curved inwards; a mesal pair elongate, touching in the middle, proximally curved outwards, acuminate, posteriorly slightly curved inwards, blunt ended.</p><p>Color (in 80% ethanol). Compound eyes black, ocelli hyaline, with ochre centripetal crescents; head pattern (Fig. 15). Scape and pedicel brown, f1–f3 brown. Mx4 more pigmented distally. Femora pale brown, tibiae and tarsomeres 1–3 brown. Forewings almost hyaline, as illustrated (Figs 16, 17); a small brown spot on confluence of Cu 2 –1 A; veins brown. Hindwing (Fig. 18), almost hyaline throughout, veins brown.</p><p>Morphology. Compound eyes without interommatidial setae. Outer cusp of lacinial tip broad, with five denticles markedly sclerotized (Fig. 19). Forewing pterostigma basally narrow, wider in the middle, narrowing posteriorly, areola postica tall, with round apex, left forewing M with four primary branches, M 4 forked, resulting in M 4a and M 4b (Fig. 16), right forewing M with four primary branches, M 4 three branched, resulting in M 4a, M 4b1 and M 4b2 (Fig. 17, see also variation of the paratype below). Hindwing M vein concave proximally, then almost straight, R 2+3 and R 4+5 slightly sinuous (Fig. 18). Hypandrium (Fig. 20) straight anteriorly; one concave area on each antero-lateral corner, resulting in a pair of projections on each side, posterior process straight, blunt ended, setae as illustrated. Phallosome (Fig. 21) with side struts proximally not fused, posteriorly fused to external parameres, these stout, almost rounded, with a sclerotized ring enclosing a membrane with numerous pores, partially projected out, distally with two projections, an elongated one, directed outwards, another short, almost rectangular, anteriorly with a small acuminate projection on the outer margin. Three pairs of endophallic sclerites; an antero-lateral pair proximally slender, widening posteriorly, slightly curved inwards; a mesal par elongate, touching in the middle, proximally curved outward, acuminate, posteriorly slightly curved inwards, blunt ended; lateral-mesal pair, short, proximally wide, narrowing posteriorly, curved outward, blunt ended. Paraprocts stout, broad, almost triangular, sensory fields with 30–31 trichobothria on basal rosettes, setae as illustrated (Fig. 22). Epiproct semi-elliptic; a long seta mesally near each side, other setae as illustrated (Fig. 22).</p><p>Measurements (in microns). Left forewing as the holotype, right forewing with M vein four branched, with M 4 three branched, resulting in M 4a, M 4b1 and M 4b2, but with the second bifurcation not as close to the wing margin as observed in the holotype (Fig. 23). Both hindwings as the holotype.</p><p>Etymology. The specific name “morrense” is a noun that applies to the natives of Morro do Chapéu, city of the Brazilian state of Bahia.
