03A887C6A255FFF0B1D23994BBE2FB3B.taxon	discussion	Notes. Some species of Trigonopterus are superficially similar, but can be easily distinguished by the absence of the metanepisternum, the much smaller tarsal claws and the posteriorly closed mesothoracic receptacle. Elichora is probably closely related to Thyestetha and can be distinguished by a transverse row of deep punctures along the elytral base and by the posteriorly closed mesothoracic receptacle. Species of Telaugia can be separated by their shorter and stouter rostrum not passing the mesoventrite in repose and by their simple metafemoral apex which is lacking a stridulatory patch.	en	Eberle, Jonas, Tänzler, Rene, Riedel, Alexander (2012): Revision and phylogenetic analysis of the Papuan weevil genus Thyestetha Pascoe (Coleoptera, Curculionidae, Cryptorhynchinae). One of them belongs to a different species described below as T. oblita sp. n., Therefore, a lectotype is designated to ensure stability of nomenclature. One or more paralectotypes from the Trobriand Islands, we were unable to locate.	en	Eberle, Jonas, Tänzler, Rene, Riedel, Alexander (2012): Revision and phylogenetic analysis of the Papuan weevil genus Thyestetha Pascoe (Coleoptera, Curculionidae, Cryptorhynchinae). 03A887C6A25BFFE1B1D23F34B8F4FE37.taxon	discussion	Notes. For this study, one type specimen of T. nitida from the Aru islands was available. Pascoe (1865) did not fix a holotype and additional syntypes may exist. Therefore, a lectotype is designated to ensure stability of nomenclature. Two syntypes of Pantoxistus rubripennis Chevrolat were examined. They were attached to one pin, with one set of labels. The upper syntype is a male of Thyestetha nitida (Figs. 68 – 70), the lower one a female specimen of the genus Telaugia Pascoe. The upper syntype is designated lectotype to ensure stability of nomenclature. Thus, Pantoxistus rubripennis Chevrolat becomes a junior synonym (syn. n.) of Thyestetha nitida. The paralectotype is attached to a separate pin.	en	Eberle, Jonas, Tänzler, Rene, Riedel, Alexander (2012): Revision and phylogenetic analysis of the Papuan weevil genus Thyestetha Pascoe (Coleoptera, Curculionidae, Cryptorhynchinae).
