Diagnosis: — Pileus grayish brown to off-white towards the margins with non persistent universal veil remnants, slightly umbonate, striated margin, a long ringless stipe bearing a saccate volva with verrucose surface and brownish patches, inamyloid globose to subglobose basidiospores measuring 10 – 11.5 × 10.5 – 11 μm, filamentous pileipellis with some inflated round to elongated cells. Holotype: — PAKISTAN. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Swat district, Mashkun, 2500 m asl, on soil under Cedrus deodara, 5 September 2013, S. Jabeen & A. N. Khalid K 4 - 34; SJ 44 (LAH 35044!; GenBank accessions for ITS: KY 781174; for LSU: KY 781175) Description: — Pileus up to 5.3 cm broad, convex to flat at maturity, slightly umbonate, cuticle thin, striate, grayish brown (5 YR 4 / 2) from the centre becoming light grey (10 Y 7 / 2) or off-white (7.5 Y 9 / 2) towards the margins when mature, non persistent off-white (7.5 Y 9 / 2) universal veil sometimes present but often disappeared, surface dry, margins slightly incurved sometimes rimose. Lamellae up to 0.3 cm broad, adnexed, sub distant to close, edges entire, off-white (7.5 Y 9 / 2); lamellulae common. Volva prominent, up to 1 / 4 length of the stipe, saccate, membranous, surface verrucose, off-white (7.5 Y 9 / 2) bearing yellowish brown patches with age. Annulus absent. Basidiospores [80 / 4 / 4] (10 –) 10.1 – 11.7 (– 12) × (9.6) 10.4 – 11 (– 11.5) μm, Q = 1.02 – 1.08, avQ = 1.08 ± 0.1, inamyloid, globose to subglobose, smooth, thin-walled, hyaline in 5 % KOH. Basidia 32 – 36 × 11.2 – 14.4 μm, clavate with 2 and 4 sterigmata, hyaline in 5 % KOH, clamp connections absent at the base of the basidia. Pileipellis a cutis of filamentous hyphae, 11.3 – 21.6 μm in diameter, infrequently septate, hyaline in 5 % KOH. Stipitipellis made up of filamentous hyphae, 9.3 – 24.7 μm wide, branched, hyaline in 5 % KOH, septa infrequent.
