254287AB3A18AB10FF69FD7B414403B1.taxon	materials_examined	Material examined. Holotype: locality 4. Comparison. The new species is most similar to Euphthiracarus (Euphthiracarus) takahashii Aoki, 1980 (b) by the presence of two pairs of prodorsal lateral carinae, shape and length of setae of prodorsum, genitoaggenital and anoadanal plates. It is distinguishable by the absence of alveoli on the surface of body, heterotrichy of notogastral setae (versus similar shape and length of notogastral setae), position of prodorsal setae, lamellar nearer to rostral than to interlamellar setae (versus lamellar setae almost in the middle between rostral and interlamellar setae), long exobothridial setae (versus minute exobothridial setae).	en	Niedbała, Wojciech, Ermilov, Sergey G. Bothridial squamae situated below the bothridia; prodorsum without median carina; two pairs of lateral carinae present; posterior median apodeme present; rostral setae arising far posteriorly between lamellar and interlamellar setae. Notogaster with 14 pairs of setae and with terminal fissure; openings of lateral opisthonotal glands and five pairs of lyrifissures (ia, im, ip, ips, ih) present. Ventral region with anterior and posterior interlocking triangles, anogenital cleft absent. Genitoaggenital plates with nine pairs of genital setae and two pairs of aggenital setae. The new species is most similar to two afrotropical species, Acrotritia granulata (Mahunka, 1999) from Madagascar and A. reticulata (Mahunka, 1988) from Tanzania, by the reticulation of surface of body, fusiform sensilli and bidactylous tarsi of leg I and tridactylous tarsi II – IV. However, the first species has bifurcated, but joined lateral carinae and the second species has only one pair of lateral carinae. Only one, Australian species, Acrotritia paradivida Niedbała & Pentinnen, 2007, has convergent, not joined lateral carinae of prodorsum but integument of body is punctuate and sensilli are bacilliform without head.	en	Niedbała, Wojciech, Ermilov, Sergey G.
