2E2F87C1FFCE2720FE0AFD0127B1FF0A.taxon	discussion	Remarks The new species is one of the smallest Acanthodrilus. Unfortunately, the tail in both specimens available is truncated, but the real length of the species can be around 35 mm. The closest A. canalanus Michaelsen, 1913 is more than double-sized (70 – 80 mm). The new species differs furthermore from A. canalanus in the shape and ornamentation of the penial setae and the form of spermathecae.	en	Csuzdi, Csaba, Pearlson, Oren, Pavlíček, Tomás (2017): New Acanthodrilus species from New Caledonia (Clitellata, Megadrili, Acanthodrilidae). 2E2F87C1FFC02721FE58FEC7253FF99F.taxon	discussion	Remarks The new species with its large size, lack of pigmentation and vesicles in 11, 12 seems to be most close to A. koghis Jamieson & Bennett, 1979. However, it differs from the latter in the form and arrangement of the genital papillae, the size of the penial setae (4.25 vs. 2 mm) and lack of genital setae. A. ouenghianus sp. nov. differs from A. koghis also in the beginning of the intestine (22. vs. 19. segment) and the presence of a well-developed typhlosole.	en	Csuzdi, Csaba, Pearlson, Oren, Pavlíček, Tomás (2017): New Acanthodrilus species from New Caledonia (Clitellata, Megadrili, Acanthodrilidae). 2E2F87C1FFC22722FEAAFF3C27E8FD09.taxon	discussion	Remarks Our material fits well with the original description; some slight differences, however, do exist. According to Michaelsen (1913) A. humboldti has only one pair of vesicles in 12. In our specimen, there is a pair of vesicles also in 9. The shape and ornamentation of the penial setae are completely identical; the width of the seta, however, is almost double that of the original description (130 μm vs. 70 μm). The same pattern has been observed in the genital seta as well. In our specimen it measures 2.13 mm × 75 μm vs. 2 mm × 35 μm). 2E2F87C1FFC22722FEB6FB15275CF959.taxon	discussion	Remarks A. layardi has long been in synonymy with A. ungulatu s Perrier, 1872 until Michaelsen (1913) resurrected it. According to Michaelsen (1913), A. layardi has a long and wide penial seta measuring ca. 8 mm in length and 175 μm in diameter, ornamented with scattered spines. In A. ungulatus the penial seta is ca. 3 mm long and 85 μm wide and ornamented with serrated bars. In our specimen, the penial seta is 7.9 mm in length and 162 μm in diameter, ornamentation consists of scattered spines.	en	Csuzdi, Csaba, Pearlson, Oren, Pavlíček, Tomás (2017): New Acanthodrilus species from New Caledonia (Clitellata, Megadrili, Acanthodrilidae). 2E2F87C1FFC32723FEA4FF3D2561FCE7.taxon	discussion	Remarks Our material fits well with the original description but differs somewhat from that of Jamieson and Bennett (1979). First of all, in our specimen (and also in the holotype) lacks any accessory genital markings and the testis sacs in 10, 11 are quite obvious. The penial setae are 6.2 mm in length and 160 μm wide, similar to those described by Michaelsen (1913) but differ somewhat from those described by Jamieson and Bennett (1979) who measured 6.8 mm × 42 μm. Differing from the original description, we could not find genital setae in our specimen. According to Michaelsen (1913), this character is however, quite variable.	en	Csuzdi, Csaba, Pearlson, Oren, Pavlíček, Tomás (2017): New Acanthodrilus species from New Caledonia (Clitellata, Megadrili, Acanthodrilidae).
