Male and female: Frons and face not rectangular in profile. Eyes red. Ocellar triangle black, with a pair of small setae above ocellar setae. Postvertical setae slightly behind vertex ridge. Frons shiny, with a black band and sporadic, minute setulae on lower part. Proclinate orbital setae nearer to ptilinal fissure than to inner vertical setae. Pedicel yellow; first flagellomere yellow, with black pubescence. Face black with yellow band medially, broadened ventrally; facial carina absent. Clypeus black medially, yellow laterally. Palpus almost yellow basally, black distally, with 1–2 longer setae distally and several shorter setae basally. Gena yellow-brown, narrow (ch <0.10). Vibrissa prominent; other orals small. Postpronotal lobe with 1 long and a few small setae. Acrostichal setulae in approximately 10 irregular rows. Prescutellar setae 1 pair. Scutellum basal setae divergent, apical setae cruciate. Wing dark brown anteriorly, paler posteriorly, curved downward on distal part. Basal medial-cubital crossvein present; C1 setae 2, less differentiated. Costal vein with 6–8 minute spinules on ventral surface between R2+3 and R4+5. R2+3 markedly curved to costa at tip; R4+5 and M1 convergent distally. Halters white basally, grey brown distally. Fore femur with 1 row of setae on posterior surface and 1 row (3–6) of setae on ventral surface. Apical seta present on mid tibia. Preapical dorsal setae present on all tibiae. Mid tarsus with 4–6 strong setae on basal part of dorsal surface. Mid and hind tarsomeres with 2 and 1 row(s) of minute cuneiform setulae on ventral surface, respectively; fore and hind tarsomeres I slightly shorter than the rest combined; mid tarsomere I longer than the rest combined. Abdominal sternites broadened, wider than length.

Male terminalia: Epandrium pubescent except for anterior margin, with numerous setae on dorsal to posterolateral portion per side and (Figs 4, 8, 12, 16, 20). Surstylus separated from epandrium, with several setae on outer surface (Figs 5, 9, 13, 17, 21). Tenth sternite small (Figs 23). Cercus separated from epandrium, setigerous, lacking pubescence except for S. (S.) longibarba sp. nov. bearing sporadic pubescence (Figs 4, 8, 12, 16, 20). Hypandrium anteromedially protruded and connected with base of aedeagus by articulating plate (Figs 6, 10, 14, 18, 22). Gonopods fused to each other, forming posteromedian lobe, posterolaterally contiguous to posterior ends of hypandrium (Figs 7, 11, 15, 19, 23). Aedeagus with tentacle-like setae distally (Figs 6, 10, 14, 18, 22).
