Wenxuan Bi (ECNU) . Paratypes: 5 males, 2 females, same data as for holotype (ECNU) . 1 male, 1 female, same data as for holotype (CCCC) .

Description. Male. All legs relatively long. Frontal rostrum somewhat wider than 1st antennal segment (Figs. 3–4). Eyes approximately ovoid. Pronotum pubescent and transverse, without lateral carinae, anterior margin straight, posterior margin slightly apically convex. Tegmina not extending to apex of abdomen, lacking apical area. Fore tibiae lacking outer tympanum, possessing oval-like inner tympanum, hind tibiae with three external dorsal spurs and two internal dorsal spurs. Two internal apical spurs long, and three external apical spurs fairly short, in which median external apical spurs fairly long. Genitalia long, two sides extend downward and inward, apical part membranous and expanded (Figs. 7–9).

Coloration. Body yellowish brown (Figs. 1–2). Maxillary palpus white. Four white bands on the head vertex brown and maxillary palpus white. Pronotum white and the middle of pronotum armed with brown stripe. Tegmina dark brown but veins faint yellow. Abdomen dark brown. Inside of fore and middle legs with two black thin stripe. In fore and middle legs, the joint of the tarsi and tibiae black, and the joint of tarsomere black. Both inner and outer of hind femora armed with two black stripes.

Female. General appearance somewhat similar to that of male, but with distinct differences: tegmina extremely short, veins not obvious. The 3rd segment of abdomen black, the other part of abdomen yellow with black spots. Ovipositor long and straight.

Measurements. (in mm) Body: male 7–8, female 7–8; pronotum: male 1.8–2, female 2; tegmen: male 4–4.5, female 0.8–1; hind femur: male 5–5.5, female 5–5.5; ovipositor 6.

Discussion. This new species is similar to S. decoloratus, but differs in the color of femora. In S. decoloratus, the fore and middle femora are white; the hind femora armed with a few short brown stripes on external face. But in this species, the fore and middle femora armed with white, but darkened at apex; both inner and outer of hind femora armed with two black stripes.

Etymology. Species name bifasciatus means two black stripes on hind femora.

https://treatment.plazi.org/id/3E3987B9FFF96177EF86FF75A8234223	Public Domain	No known copyright restrictions apply. Eyes approximately ovoid, pronotum transverse (Figs. 5–6). Tegmina a little shorter than abdomen. Fore tibiae just having inner tympanum, outer tympanum absent. Hind tibiae with three pairs of dorsal spurs, three external apical spurs and two internal apical spurs. Genitalia trapezium-shaped, a wide band in the middle, two sides extending downwards and inwards, apical part membranous and separate (Figs. 10–12).

Coloration. Body black. Two rows of white longitudinal stripes on head vertex. The middle area between eyes with white. Labrum and mandible black. Scape and pedicel whitish, flagellum black. Maxillary palpus with two black basal joints, three white apical joints, and the distal of 5th joint black. Pronotum with disk white, lateral lobes black. The disc armed with numerous spots. Tegmina brown with white veins. Tibiae alternating black and white, the outside of hind femora with black irregular stripes. Hind tibiae and dorsal spurs alternating black an white.

Female. General appearance somewhat similar to that of male, but with distinct differences: tegmina short, approximating the length of pronotum; tegmina dorsal area white, lateral area black. Abdomen with yellow tergite and black sternites, black spots densely on the abdomen.

Measurements. (in mm) Body: male 6, female 7; pronotum: male 1, female 1.2; tegmen: male 3.5–4, female 1; hind femur: male 4–5, female 5; ovipositor 5.

Discussion. This species is similar to S. punctifrons, but differs in the color of pronotal lateral lobes as well as the genitalia. In S. punctifrons, the lateral lobe bears a large, triangular brown spot. But in this species, the lateral lobe is black.

Etymology. Species name fulvus indicates the yellow color of the body.

https://treatment.plazi.org/id/3E3987B9FFF96172EF86FB30AFF34741	Public Domain	No known copyright restrictions apply.
