Body length including wings about 2.5–3.5mm. Head with prominent coronal suture; crown conically produced medially; face generally convex. Pronotum apparently wider than head including eye. Scutellum nearly triangular, small; scutellar suture prominent. Forewing usually narrow, with numerous dark spots scattered variably; 2nd apical cell longest; 3rd apical cell triangular, with petiolate at base. Hindwing with submarginal vein joining with Cu1 near to mcu1. Abdominal apodeme with posterior lobes generally well developed, variable in length, often exceeding 4th sternite.</p><p>Male genitalia. Pygofer with long processes arising from caudoventral margin, broadened subapically and directed dorsally, with several thin microsetae on lateral surface. Subgenital plate widened basally, distinctly sharper near apex, with 1–2 or row of long macrosetae subbasally. Style with preapical tooth on inner margin; apex footlike, usually with few short microsetae medially. Aedeagus variable, with or without basal processes, differing among species in position and shape if present; shaft with or without apical processes. Crown produced medially, with two fulvous spots. Face more or less milky white; frontoclypeus with fulvous hypodermal small stripes. Eyes light brown. Pronotum and scutellum with fulvous srtipes. Forewing subhyaline, with yellowish longitudinal markings and numerous small to medium dark brown spots. Hindwing hyaline. Second sternal apodeme with posterior lobes ovoid, well developed, little extending to 5th sternite.</p><p>Male genitalia. Pygofer with dorsal margin slightly concave; caudodorsal margin roundly produced, with numerous thin microsetae on surface; caudoventral margin with process slender and long, straight and uniform at middle, upcurved and strongly broadened at apex. Subgenital plate narrowed distally and upturned, with single macroseta basally. Aedeagal shaft straight in ventral view, bent in lateral view, more or less uniformly tubular with blunt tip; gonopore apical on ventral surface. Style long, with sharp angled subapical edge, armed with numerous microsetae medially. Connective Y-shaped, with small central lobe.</p><p>Body length. Male 2.8‾3.0mm, female 3.2‾ 3.3mm.</p><p>Material examined. Korea, Gangwon Province: 4 males, Seoraksan, 26.VII.1982, Y.J. Kwon; 18 males &amp; 3 females, Balgyosan, on Rhus chinensis and R. trichocarpa, 21.VIII.2016; 9 males &amp; 6 females, Balgyosan, on Rhus chinensis and R. trichocarpa, 25.IX.2016; 1 male, Giusan, on Rhus chinensis, 8.VIII.2016; Gyeongbuk Province: 1 male, Cheongyangsan, 10.VIII.2015; 1 male, Juwangsan, 26.VII.1984; 2 females, Palgongsan, 10.VIII.2015; 1 male &amp; 21 females, Samgang, Pungyang-M, 30.VI.2015, all same collector.</p><p>Distribution. Body slender, general coloration milky white to yellowish white, mottled with conspicuous orange to yellowish orange patches on crown, pronotum, scutellum and forewing. Crown subtriangularly produced anterad, with two yellowish white stripes on anterior margin, and prominent stripe along midline. Face shiny, pale yellow to whitish, without any spot or streak; rostrum orange, with dark brown apex. Pronotum and scutellum with irregular whitish stripes; scutellum with dark brown spot near apex, with big triangular white stripe, two distinct whitish longitudinal patches at posterior corners. Forewing subhyaline, with orange to yellowish orange patterns, and several black to dark brown spots on costal margin. Hindwing subhyaline. Venter and legs concolorous, whitish. Second sternal apodeme with posterior lobes large, parallel sided, ovoid at apex, reaching to hind margin of 5th sternite.</p><p>Male genitalia. Pygofer with apical margin dorso-caudad; dorsal margin slightly concave; ventral margin armed with long slender process, arising from caudoventral side, directed dorsally, gently tapered apically. Subgenital plate short and broad, with small apical part, with 2 macrosetae subbasally. Aedeagal shaft almost straight, narrowing terminally, armed with 3 apical slender processes, comprising terminal one directing apically, and two subterminal ones directing basally; gonopore subapical on ventral surface. Style long, slightly curved, with several microsetae medially; apex with sharp angled edge subapically. Connective Y-shaped, with small central lobe.</p><p>Body length. Male 2.8‾ 3.1mm, female 3.0‾ 3.3mm.</p><p>Type material. Holotype male, Korea: Chungbuk Province, Jincheon, on Diospyros kaki, 14.VIII.2008, Y.J. Kwon ; Paratypes, 8 males &amp; 14 females, same data as holotype; Gyeonggi Province: 2 males, Camp Humphreys, 23. VI.2016, H.C. Kim; Jeonnam Province: 9 males &amp; 6 females, Illimsan, on Diospyros kaki, 23.VIII.2018, Y.J. Kwon.</p><p>Distribution. Korea (South, Central).</p><p>Host plant. Diospyros kaki (Persimmon) .</p><p>Remarks. This species is similar to L. kakii Chou et Ma, 1981, but differs in having the aedeagus shaft with 3 apical processes. Pronotum pale yellowish, with 4 fulvous srtipes; two at middle slightly incurved, two others outcurved. Scutellum with dark brown arrowhead-like markings. Forewing subhyaline, with yellowish shade, 1‾2 castaneous marking, and scattered with numerous small dark brown spots. Venter and legs yellowish white. Second sternal apodeme with posterior lobes ovoid, well developed, nearly reaching to anterior margin of 6th sternite.</p><p>Male genitalia. Pygofer with dorsal margin strongly concave; caudodorsal margin roundly produced posteriorly, with numerous thin microsetae on surface; pygofer appendage slender and upcurved, slightly S-shaped with tapering end. Subgenital plate with single macroseta near base, narrowed distally and upturned. Aedeagal shaft in lateral aspect broad basally, slightly curved ending with blunt tip, straight and tubular, widest at 1/3 from base; gonopore apical, on ventral surface. Style long, with 2‾3 microsetae medially; apex with sharp angled edge subapi- cally. Connective Y-shaped, with small central lobe.</p><p>Body length. Male 3.00‾ 3.10mm, female 3.20‾ 3.25mm.</p><p>Type material. Holotype male, Korea: Gangwon Province, Balgyosan, on Rhus chinensis, 23.VIII.2016, Y.J. This new species belongs to the multipunctata group and is similar to L. ishiharai Dworakowska, 1972 in genital characters. It differs in having large spots in the commissural area of the forewings, in having the aedeagus distinctly tapered in lateral and ventral views, and by the larger posterior lobes of the male sternal apodeme. This species was previously described by Choe (1986) in his Ph.D. thesis, but the description was never published. Body relatively smaller, with general coloration pale greenish yellow. Crown slightly produced medially, with two fulvous spots. Face pale yellowish brown, without any spot or streak; anteclypeus relatively long, gradually narrowing apically; rostrum reddish, with dark brown apex. Pronotum with fulvous srtipes. Scutellum with 3 dark spots, and whitish yellow patch behind scutellar suture. Forewing greenish yellow, with 1‾2 castaneous marking on clavus, and numerous dark brown small to medium spots. Second sternal apodeme with posterior lobes ovoid, well developed, slightly shorter, extending up to 4th sternite.</p><p>Male genitalia. Pygofer with dorsal margin slightly convex; caudodorsal margin roundly produced, and then slightly concave with numerous thin microsetae on surface; caudoventral processes broad basally, blunt apically, with subapical constriction. Subgenital plate narrowed distally, upturned, with single macroseta near base.Aedeagal shaft straight and tubular, distinctly expanded in lateral view; gonopore subapical, on ventral surface. Style long, with upper half gradually narrowing towards apex, curved laterad, with sharp angled edge subapically, scattered with numerous microsetae on medial surface. Connective Y-shaped, with small central lobe.</p><p>Body length. Male 2.6‾ 2.8mm, female 2.8‾3.0mm.</p><p>Material examined. Korea, Jejudo Province: 2 males &amp; 3 females, Gwangryeong-Ri, on Rhus chinensis, 19.IX.2016, Y.J. Kwon .</p><p>Distribution. Korea (new record: Jejudo), China (Guangdong), Japan (Honshu, Kyushu, Shikoku).</p><p>Host plant. Rhus chinensis (observed).</p><p>Remarks. This species is redescribed herein with the host record observed by the authors.
