Gusenleitner.</p><p>Remarks: This is a new record for Iran.</p><p>Remarks: There are seven other species of this genus recorded from Iran: Celonites clarus Gusenleitner, C. crenulatus Morawitz, C. discretus Gusenleitner, C. longipilis Gusenleitner, C. persicus Richards, C. pictus rufiventris Gusenleitner and C. semenovi Kostylev. However, the name Vespa sesquicincta Lichtenstein, 1796, was suppressed in 1995 in Opinion 1820 of the International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature.
