(2008) from the Aegean coast of Turkey and by Stock (1962) from the Mediterranean coast of Turkey, but this is the first record of this species from Mersin Bay.</p> <p>General distribution: Both sides of the Atlantic Ocean (Massachusetts to Brazil and Portugal), Indo-Pacific; Mediterranean Sea (Müller, 1993).</p> <p>3.1.2. Agardh) Kützing 1 ♂ (EFSM –PYC/2010-8), 21.07.2010.</p> <p>This species was reported from the Aegean coast of Turkey by Arnaud (1976), Krapp et al. (2008), and Çinar et al. (2008), and by Demir (1952) from the Sea of Marmara and the Bosphorus. This is the first record of T. conirostre from Mersin Bay, the Mediterranean coast of Turkey, and the Levantine Sea.</p> <p>General distribution: North Atlantic, Mediterranean Sea (Müller, 1993).</p> <p>3.1.3. Ammothella longipes (Hodge, 1864) (Figures 6 and 7)</p> <p>Material examined: St. 4, 36°30′01″N, 34°11′29″E, 1 ♂ (EFSM –PYC/2011-8), 25.03.2011.</p> <p>This species has been reported from the Aegean coast of Turkey by Arnaud (1976) and Krapp et al. (2008). This is the first record of A. longipes from Mersin Bay and the Mediterranean coast of Turkey.</p> <p>General distribution: Atlantic, Mediterranean Sea (King, 1974).</p> <p>3.1.4. Ammothella appendiculata (Dohrn, 1881) (Figures 8 and 9)</p> <p>Material examined: St. 7, 36°47′24″N, 34°37′33″E, 1 ♂ ovigerous (EFSM –PYC/2010-9), 21.07.2010.</p> <p>This species was reported from the Aegean coast of Turkey by Krapp et al. (2008) and Çinar et al. (2008), but the present report represents a new record for A. appendiculata from Mersin Bay, the Mediterranean coast of Turkey, and the Levantine Sea.</p> <p>General distribution: Cosmopolitan species (Bamber, 2004), except for the polar oceans.
