In our expeditions, we could not locate any populations in its type locality or historical collection sites. We could locate the species only from the type locality (Sairep village in Lunglei district, specimen numbers: VG 2018 MZ 2522, VG 2018 MZ 2528, VG 2018 MZ 2529, VG 2018 MZ 2546). In our study, we located a population from Tuipang in the Saiha district of southern Mizoram (specimen numbers: VG 2018 MZ 2556, VG 2018 MZ 2557, VG 2018 MZ 2558). This locality corresponds to where Parry had collected specimens in 1928.
