Yunnan: Yingjiang, <a href="https://tb.plazi.org/GgServer/search?materialsCitation.longitude=97.7&amp;materialsCitation.latitude=24.75" title="Search Plazi for locations around (long 97.7/lat 24.75)">Xima</a>, 24°45 ′ N, 97°42 ′ E, on the trunks in montane forest, <a href="https://tb.plazi.org/GgServer/search?materialsCitation.longitude=97.7&amp;materialsCitation.latitude=24.75" title="Search Plazi for locations around (long 97.7/lat 24.75)">Zhai</a> 0180 (holotype: IBSC; isotype FAFU)</p> <p>Rhizome stout, 4–6 mm in diameter, densely covered with short tubular sheaths. Pseudobulbs well spaced, ovoid with 4 obvious ridges, ca. 3 cm in diam., smooth and glossy, with scaly sheaths and a single apical leaf. Petiole ca. 1.0– 1.5 cm; leaf blade thickly leathery, subelliptic, usually 13.0–16.0 × 4.5–5.0 cm, apex obtuse, not retuse, base cuneate. Scape from base of pseudobulb, erect, 10–13 cm, stout; umbel 2–4-flowered; peduncle 3 mm in diam., sparsely with 3 membranous sheaths, ca. 1 cm. floral bracts lanceolate, ca. 1 cm, apex acuminate. Pedicel and ovary ca. 2 cm. Flowers yellowish green; dorsal sepal ovate, cymbiform, slightly constricted in the middle, ca. 15 × 6 mm, 5-veined, margins fimbriate, apex caudate, with 3–6 fringes, narrowly oblong, ca. 3 mm; lateral sepals lanceolate, ca. 5 cm, apex short caudate, twisted near base, upper edges connate forming a synsepal ca. 2 cm wide; petals ovate-triangular, ca. 10 × 4 mm, 3-veined, margins with many fringes, narrowly oblong, ca. 3–4 mm; lip ligulate-elliptic, ca. 1 cm, conduplicate in basal half, apex obtuse, base attached to end of column foot by a mobile joint, margins and adaxial surface densely fimbriate-hairy, ca. 1 mm. Column ca. 5 mm, with semilunar wings; foot ca. 8–10 mm, with free part ca. 3 mm; rostellum 2, acicular, slightly curved, ca. 1 mm. Anther cap apex semilunar, not retuse.</p> <p>Distribution and Habitat: — Bulbophyllum yingjiangense is currently known only from Yingjiang, western Yunnan Province, China. It grows on tree trunks in montane forest at 1400–1700 m.
