It has a short stratigraphic range and wide distribution. It is distinguished by a surface ornamented by two distinct longitudinal costae separated by median sulcus.</p> <p>Stratigraphic distribution: This species was first recorded in Egypt by SAID &amp; KENAWY (1956) in the Late Maastrichtian. In the study area, it appears with the appearance of the Gansserina gansseri species in the Esh El Mallaha area.
