Defler 220 (MO!).

Distribution:— Mezilaurus introrsa is only known from the Ecological Station of Caparú in southeastern Colombia, Vaupés state, where it occurs in seasonally inundated forest, locally called “igapó”, at 200 m a.s.l.

Conservation Status:— The species is known from two collections from the same tree in the southeast of Colombia, state of Vaupés. The area is botanically poorly explored. Therefore, the species can be assessed using the IUCN Categories and Criteria (IUCN 2001) as Data Deficient (DD).

Phenology:— Flowers in August and fruits in September.

Etymology:— The epithet is based on the introrse stamens.

https://treatment.plazi.org/id/DD4B87E6E679FFB75B8CFEF4FC63FA70	Public Domain	No known copyright restrictions apply.
